Sex of Kate Middleton’s New Baby Announcement – A Girl or Boy?

They say that a new baby’s gender is one of the few true surprises left in this world and it seems that Kate Middleton and Prince William have decided to keep it that way. Rumor has it the couple opted not to find out what they were having in advance and that baby Cambridge will be a surprise right up until the minute that he or she is born. At that time, the time of birth, the baby weight, and the sex of the infant will be announced – but not the child’s name.

My guess is that it makes it a whole lot easier to prevent leaks when the couple themselves don’t know what they’re expecting. It also explains while when decorating the main nursery Kate did go with neutrals. That in itself was a huge victory because she broke from royal tradition and opted not to use the official and rickety old royal baby furniture. I love how Kate has managed to stroll into the palace and carry herself in a way that has caused Queen Elizabeth to make changes and allowances to the royal protocol. The Duchess has helped to modernize the monarchy and no doubt her parenting style will continue the trend.

As for the baby, we’re not positive of official name choices yet but we do know that this little prince or princess will be third in line to the throne the minute it takes its first breath and that’s pretty exciting, isn’t it? Have you weighed in yet? Do you think it’ll be a boy or a girl? How about the name game? We have heard that the name Spencer will be thrown into the mix as a tribute to Prince William’s late mother, Princess Diana. It also works for either a boy or girl and follows the trend of neutral names which will modernize the baby immediately.

What do you think that Kate is about to deliver? Give us your guesses in the comments below!
