Kendall Jenner and Kylie Jenner often give joint interviews, and their latest interview with Zach Sang & The Gang is no different.
Although the duo seemed to begin the interview promoting their clothing line and their careers, it inevitably took a turn into the whole ‘wahh, paparazzi suck’ shtick. While I have some sympathy for actors who say this, I have absolutely no sympathy for reality stars when they complain about the paparazzi. Sure, you could argue that Kendall and Kylie didn’t really have a choice when Keeping Up With the Kardashians first started, by now they’re both intelligent semi-adults who can make up their mind and refuse to appear on the reality show if they don’t want to. Of course, then they would probably lose the lifestyle that they’ve become so accustomed to.
Also, they reveal an interesting tidbit in the interview – apparently, they left school because of the paparazzi. Kendall explains, “We were cheerleaders, so we miss that. I still go to football games sometimes, but we used to go all the time. … We would go to cheer at football games and there would be paparazzi on the other side of the fence taking pictures. It got to a point where it was just ridiculous. Thank God no one stalked us at school! They can stand outside of the property and take pictures in! It’s not hard. It never got to that point, thank God; I would have had a fit if it did. I hate paparazzi.”
You can hate the paparazzi all you want, but you may want to tell your mother to stop calling them then. Reality stars exist and live off the paparazzi, and it’s a symbiotic relationship. If the paparazzi lost interest in them, they wouldn’t sell tabloids, and the viewership of their show would drop. It’s a cycle, and Kris Jenner knows that. So as much as Kendall and Kylie want to complain about how horrible the paparazzi are, maybe they want to take a good look at their family first.
