Country singer KREE HARRISON performed, “Piece Of My Heart” by Janis Joplin for her Top 7 AMERICAN IDOL performance tonight. Did you watch tonight’s show? We did and we recapped it here for you. The theme for tonight’s performance show was Classic Rock, No Ballads. The contestants were warned no ballads, love songs or soft songs. There have been a lot of ballads performed by the contestants this season, so I guess they want to see how the idol hopefuls can rock it out.
On last week’s show Kree sang Aretha Franklin’s “Don’t Play That Song (You Lied),” and Smokey Robinson liked it so much that he told her he was going to call Aretha. Randy loved her rendition and said, “Yo man, so look they have the Kree love in this building. To take on the Queen of Soul is a tough thing. You deserve all of that you are one of the best in this competition.”
A bigger surprise for Kree was, Aretha called with a message for her and they played it on last week’s show. Aretha said, “I loved it. You put that one away, and you’re not going anywhere.” With Smokey and Aretha rooting for you, you gotta bet Kree will be around for a while.
On Thursday’s Results Show, Carrie Underwood will perform her new single, “See You Again” and Season Nine finalist Casey James will sing his song, “The Good Life.” We will also lose one more hopeful Idol contestant.
