Naples, Florida resident LAZARO ARBOS sang “We Are The Champions” by Queen for his Top 7 AMERICAN IDOL performance. Did you watch tonight’s show? We did and we recapped it here for you. The theme for tonight’s performance show was Classic Rock, No Ballads. The contestants were warned no ballads, love songs or soft songs. There have been a lot of ballads performed by the contestants this season, so I guess they want to see how the idol hopefuls can rock it out.
Lazaro keeps escaping elimination week by week. On last week’s show Lazaro sang, “For Once In My Life,” by Stevie Wonder and the judges had mixed reactions. Randy said, “Listen, I think last week both me and Jimmy gave you a rough time. Always honesty, trying to keep it real. This is far better than last week. It was not perfect pitch, but I think I felt you were disconnected.” But Mariah did not agree and said, I hear you about the pitch thing. I think it was a smart thing to choose a song more in your register. I notice your courage, you were back.”
On Thursday’s Results Show, Carrie Underwood will perform her new single, “See You Again” and Season Nine finalist Casey James will sing his song, “The Good Life.” We will also lose one more hopeful Idol contestant.
