When I saw Star Magazines coverage of LeAnn Rimes and Eddie Cibrian’s deteriorating marriage, two words came to mind – hot damn! Not because what Star printed was shocking, but because there is something about seeing a story in black and white that helps to validate what many of us celeb bloggers have been consistently reporting. Simply put, it shows that we weren’t just blowing smoke up your … well you get the picture.
For some time now we have been reporting at Celeb Dirty Laundry that the only thing keeping Eddie from divorcing LeAnn is their totally scripted show for VH1, because at this point he regrets ever marrying her. What Eddie thought would be a marriage of convenience (as in he can conveniently have access to her bank account), has turned into a nightmare because of LeAnn’s destructive behavior including her alleged (although if you check out some her tweets there is nothing alleged about it) drinking, and her intense episodes of anger directed at Eddie. Bottom line – it seems LeAnn is falling apart, and Eddie is not about to go down with her.
A source that spoke to Star said that the couple who have been married for less than three years, is nearing divorce because LeAnn has, “been driving [Eddie] to distraction with her psycho behaviour almost from the moment they hooked up,” but that LeAnn’s inability to control her emotions and impulses has, “been getting continuously worse since they made it official, and Eddie can’t take it anymore; he’s at the end of his rope.”
The source disclosed that LeAnn is painfully insecure about Eddie cheating on her (ummm I wonder why), and these insecurities often lead to huge fights because after she has been, “drinking early in the day and into the evening,” she instigates arguments where she, “accuses him of being unfaithful and disloyal,” and that, “On more than one occasion, LeAnn has even locked herself in the closet after drinking, telling [Eddie that] she wants to be left alone.”
It is safe to say that Eddie has accumulated his share of regrets over the years (like breaking up his home with Brandi Glanville and their beautiful boys), but the source said he considers, “being married to LeAnn [the] worst mistake he’s ever made, and this past year in particular has been a nightmare,” and at this point, “He wants out.”
LeAnn who tweets her day away (although she has been unusually quiet the last two days which could be either a really good thing or a really bad thing), took to Twitter to respond indirectly to Star Magazines allegations. It seems Ms. Rimes wants us to believe that this story has her in stitches:
Unless, “I’m dying laughing,” is code for I have locked myself in my closet and am crying into the bottom of a bottle then this tweet – like LeAnn – is full of it. LeAnn is the most overtly sensitive celebrity on Twitter, so it is safe to assume that if she takes twitter so seriously that she takes everything written about her just as seriously. We are talking about a person who attacks anyone who dares to criticize her on Twitter, instead of laughing it off or letting it roll off her shoulders like a happy secure individual would. So no LeAnn, there is no pulling the wool over our eyes, you are not, “dying laughing,” at this headline and article.
In another exchange LeAnn told a twitter follower that she knew this article was hitting the stands days ago, but considered it, “too stupid to even comment on.”
So Star’s article was too stupid to comment on, but yet just this week she commented on a Celeb Dirty Laundry post I wrote highlighting her incoherent tweets, calling me a “horrific ‘human being.’” I guess this means she found my post to be brilliant. Thanks LeAnn, I try my best.
All joking aside, LeAnn needs to start coming up with better excuses (and keeping track of all her lies), because no one is buying it. When left to her own devices she responds to everyone and everything, so I am guessing she was ordered to zip it for once. Furthermore she didn’t earn the nickname SueAnn for nothing – if there was no truth to Star’s article she would have cease and desisted them in two seconds flat.
LeAnn is a living example of many things, including the old adage (meaning it is not to be taken literally), “give someone enough rope and they’ll hang themselves.” LeAnn has become her own worst enemy, and single-handedly destroyed her public image and now, it seems, her marriage as well.
I – along with many others – always knew that it wasn’t a matter of not if but when this marriage would implode and it seems that time is upon us. I just hope that Eddie is able to protect is children and Brandi from what is sure to come, because since 2009 when he became the object of her obsession LeAnn has made it clear that she is not going to let Eddie go without a fight.
