Elizabeth Berkley danced a Contemporary, on the premiere of Dancing with the Stars season 17 tonight. Elizabeth says she is working on letting her partner Val lead her. “My own stuff is coming up — just being led by someone and trusting and surrendering to that. This season features DWTS shaking things up by transitioning to a one night, two-hour format. Beginning with the second episode on Monday, September 23, one couple will be eliminated at the end of the show by combining the judges’ scores from the first two weeks with the public votes from the previous week. Each episode will open with a “massive dance number” and end with a pair being eliminated, with the exception of the premiere.

Judges comments: Carrie Ann said: “What is going on, it is amazing. That was a gorgeous angel. This dance showcased you.” Len: “It was lovely to watch.” Bruno: “Darling the original showgirl is back and she means business. The choreography was fabulous. You really do have wings and you can fly high.”
