Mel Gibson is a real piece of work, isn’t he? I mean, how often do you hear anything good said about the aging actor anymore? Last night TMZ’s cameras caught up with Mel and asked him about the topic that was on the tip of everyone’s tongue yesterday – Pope Benedict XVI choosing to resign from his position effective later this month. Apparently Mel doesn’t care one bit and was rather irritated when the camera guy simply asked his opinion.
He shrugged off the news and said it has happened before like as if he was talking about a passing thunder storm rolling in out of nowhere. When the camera guy points out that it has been over 500 years since a Pope willingly resigned Mel shrugs it off and barks that he doesn’t want to talk to him anymore.
Does anything not piss this guy off? I mean we already know his unsolicited opinion on Jewish people, female cops, African American’s and his baby momma, Oksana Grigorieva. Is there anyone or anything that Mel actually cares about, or would at least act favorably towards? It’s hard to believe that years ago he was considered to be the hottest thing in Hollywood! Women used to swoon after Mel and they would have easily lined up for the chance to spend quality time with the actor. Now, at best he is shrugged off as a has-been actor that is a shadow of his former self. At worst he is shunned and considered to be a hot head that no one really wants to be associated with.
