Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth tried to battle the breakup rumors by stepping out together and posing together on the red carpet for the Los Angeles premiere of Liam’s new movie, Paranoia. However, it didn’t exactly work out as they planned.
Maybe they were hoping people would see them posing together, and end the speculation. Unfortunately, Liam didn’t seem to get the memo that if you look miserable posing next to your supposed girlfriend on the red carpet, people will talk – and talk, they did.
Sources have told US Weekly that despite the united front Miley and Liam put up on the red carpet, they seemed very unhappy together. Sources explain, “Miley and Liam acted like they didn’t even know each other the entire night. She was wearing her ring but they acted as if they were strangers.” The source also adds that Liam was clearly not into the kisses Miley kept plastering on him, and he also refused to speak about her during any interviews.
Considering that Miley’s the only one who has been speaking publicly about their relationship, and Liam seems to have all but checked out mentally, it’s hard not to wonder why they’re still pretending to be in a relationship. I mean, he’s over it. It’s obvious in his actions, in his behavior, and in the PR reports that have been coming from his camp for the last two months. And Miley has to know that, she’s not oblivious. But considering that rumors about her relationship are enough to increase promotion for her music, there’s a high possibility that they’re still staying together as a promotion method – both for Liam’s movie and for Miley’s album. Either that, or Miley has some dirt on Liam that she’s threatening to reveal. I don’t know – I just don’t understand why she’s insisting on staying with a guy who not only very probably cheated on her, but also looks like he’s being beaten by a bat to be seen with her in public.
