Well, it looks like Celeb Dirty Laundry is really onto something here. We have been telling you for a while now that all things point to a real split between lovebirds Ian Somerhalder and Nina Dobrev. The two met and fell in love on the set of The Vampire Diaries, managing to keep their relationship on the down low for more than a year. They finally went public last fall and TVD fans were thrilled.
The couple spent the last six months, working and playing together. They’ve traveled for fun and accompanied each other to on personal appearances that were connected to work, even spent holidays with the others’ family. It was good, really good at least until the night of the Oscars. Ian and Nina attended Elton John’s party and that was it, as a couple they’ve dropped from the face of the earth.
The whole month of March has come and almost completely gone without a sighting. There have also been no Twitter references between the two as we had seen for months earlier on in their relationship. Nina has spent most of the time in L.A. Hanging with family and friends while Ian has been a man on a mission. That mission seems to be to travel and do just as much on his own as he had done with Nina as his personal co-pilot.
Gossip Cop is claiming that an un-named putative source close to Nina says that the couple is just fine. From Gossip Cop: ‘A source close to Dobrev tells Gossip Cop the split reports are “not true.”’ We’re not sure who that source is but I can tell you that as of yet, Nina’s publicist from CW (home of the Vampire Diaries) has yet to reply to Celeb Dirty Laundry’s questioning of the couples’ status.
Looking at the facts that we do know, I still say that this couple is at the very least taking a break. It may not be permanent, but it’s clearly happening. Otherwise they’d set the record straight, wouldn’t they? Tell us your thoughts in the comments below!
