Ian Somerhalder threatened to leave Hollywood after being overshadowed by his co-star, Nina Dobrev, but he popped up at the Teen Choice Awards. Dobrev and Somerhalder made their way down the red carpet to fans’ and television executives’ delight. They were there to represent The Vampire Diaries, since they’re never invited to any of Hollywood’s A-List events, and they’re unknown outside of the CW. TVD was nominated for eight awards! Both Dobrev and Somerhalder won in their respective categories. Thank God, because Ian is so sensitive these days, he may have went Kanye West if he did not win.
Ian wore a tight fitting shirt to accentuate his ‘muscle milk’ enhanced, toned, physique, and promote his foundation, ‘Ian Somerhalder Foundation’. He paired it with black pants, and black boots. I’m unsure what’s up with the Mardi Gras beaded bracelet he used as an accessory. We expected a bit more fashion forward style from Nina Dobrev. She wore a sleeveless, black, paint splattered floral pants set. It was okay, but nothing on the level of mini hounds tooth dress she killed on the cover of Cosmopolitan.
Since Ian Somerhalder couldn’t handle the pain and rejection of losing Fifty Shades of Grey, Hollywood has offered him a broke man’s version of Christian Grey. Crossfire Series author Sylvia Day hinted at her interest in The Vampire Diaries man candy playing Gideon Cross.
Meanwhile Nina Dobrev is loving her new limelight, and is glad Ian discontinued the showmance. She’s clinging to new bestie, Julianne Hough like Lil Twist clings to Justin Beiber. They showed up together at Cosmopolitan’s Summer Bash at Palihouse in West Hollywood. Either Julianne got ugly, or Nina Dobrev is just way prettier. Dobrev, stole the show in a yellow Julien McDonald dress with Elie Saab shoes. Hough, looking average in comparison, wore a Camilla and Marc black dress and Brian Atwood heels. Surely, they both had a good time.
