According to a new report from the very reliable [not] Media Take Out, Porsha Stewart has been unceremoniously fired from The Real Housewives of Atlanta.
Apparently, Bravo executives fired Porsha earlier this week, and are planning to make the announcement that Porsha will not return for the seventh season fairly quickly. The source claims that the reason for her firing is because, “Porsha is a mix of boring and annoying, [and] neither is good for TV.” Um, has this ‘source’ watched reality television lately? MOST reality stars are boring and annoying, and the only drama ever caused is usually through intervention by network executives and producers who create fake scenarios for the stars to play out. If you look at most ‘popular’ reality shows, the characters are a mix of boring and annoying, although there’s definitely a fair share of non-boring very-annoying drama queens.
Although, to be fair, the Real Housewives are less ‘boring’ than most of their reality show counterparts – and people have been fired from the show for similar reasons before. If we look at previous alums such as Alex McCord, Adrienne Maloof, and Taylor Armstrong, we can start to sense a trend.
Right now, most of Porsha’s story on RHOA is focused on her divorce drama from Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Kordell Stewart. But is that enough to satiate hungry audiences who want much more than a contentious divorce from their reality TV? Bravo’s already denied the rumors that Porsha will be fired, but then again, there’s no way they’re going to let the cat out of the bag before it’s time.
What do you guys think? Will Porsha really be fired from the Real Housewives of Atlanta? Let us know your thoughts in the comments.
