LIVE RECAP!!
At the Rear Window Brew, Hanna is freaking out because she hasn’t heard from their mother. Also everyone is worried about the new detective. Spencer is recreating the scene from the fire. Then there’s also the woman in black question. There are so many mysteries the liars don’t know what to do. Mona comes to them wanting to know the next part of the plan. They remain skeptical about her so she takes them back to the lair but when everyone sees the trailer gone, they believe that Mona is setting them up again.
No one is willing to believe her until Mona throws herself from her own car after being choked. The culprit then takes the car and nearly runs the girls over.
Hanna’s mom is ok. She’s making breakfast just like normal. Hanna admits she went Wilden’s funeral. Her mom is uncomfortable but Hanna presses on. Her mom tells her that someone must have done them favor when they killed Wilden. Hanna returns the phone and her mom claims she must have lost it.
Hanna tells Aria about how her mom didn’t even blink when she gave her the phone. Hanna wants to believe its Mona but has to face up to what Aria is telling her. Trying to figure out who has been behind “A”’s new game, Hanna confronts Shauna about Wilden. Aria drags her away before Shauna can answer her back.
Emily is with Paige. Paige is so excited about “their” school and is looking up the dorms. Emily can’t work up the same enthusiasm. She was slightly injured by jumping away from the car last night. She won’t be able to attend swim practice.
Spencer tells Toby about what almost happened to Mona but takes in consideration that Toby isn’t acting all that surprised. He quickly leaves before she can question him further.
Ezra just finished with his class. Spencer stayed behind while friends went on to lunch. Ezra asks her if she’s ok. She admits that she got rejected by U Penn. Ezra tries to reassure her that there are other schools out there. She shouldn’t give up just because she’s breaking family tradition.
Emily and Hanna are on the phone. Emily has to decide whether to take some pills in order to be in the best shape for Stanford. While over Hanna’s, Hanna found her mom shoes covered in mud. She thinks its weird because her mom could have taken it to the cleaners instead trying to cleaning herself. Later Hanna attempts to question her mother about it but is immediately shut down.
Aria is signing up for some self-defense at karate classes.
Hanna is trying to contact Spence when she caught out by Allison’s Mom. Things turn creepy when Hanna notices Mrs. DiLaurentis’s creepy parrot. The bird had become close to Allison and can now mimick her voice perfectly.
Spencer couldn’t answer Hanna’s calls because she has Ezra looking over her admittance essay. Ezra tells her she revealed too much for a mere college acceptance essay. He knows she went through some bad things but its TMI. Spencer defends her essay by saying she needs them to know she can escape this town.
Jessica DiLaurentis is talking Hanna about Allison. Her mom is telling Hanna about Allison “forgotten weekend”. Allison had manipulated her mother into giving her night for supposedly a sleepover with her friends. Hanna tells Jessica Allison never invited them and Jessica replies she’s not surprised. She figured Allison was moving with a fast crowd. Possibly a boy.
Aria’s self-defense class turns unexpected with after reassuring her teacher she isn’t frightened of anyone she then kisses him. She apologizes and speedily flees the scene of the crime. She was driving through town when she notices Mona talking to a cop. She make excuses for Mona and drives off with her.
Mona was using the cop as a decoy. She was eavesdropping on the conversation behind him. Mona found out that Wilden’s footprints were found at the shore and so were a woman’s footprints in high heels. Mona thinks it was Allison.
Spencer is ripping up her essay when Toby comes in. He admits he was the one that moved Mona’s trailer. Spencer is angry about the secrets so Toby tells her that he wanted to get some papers from when his mom committed suicide. He never read the reports but after hearing them he doesn’t believe his mom killed herself. He wants to find out more no matter how. Spencer promises not to tell anyone else.
Shanna confronts Emily before the swim race. She wants to know why Hanna thought she was friends with Wilden. Emily tells her she doesn’t like talking before the race. Shanna then changes tact. She tells Emilt she knows she wants that last seat at Stanford but she intends to take it for herself.
Emily starts off in the race nervous but for some reason (probably the drugs) she swims right into the end of the pool and hits her head. She has to be dragged out of the pool. She’s carried out on a stretcher. When she comes to the EMT asks about the bruise on her shoulder. Emily lies and says she fell off her bike but she will need stitches for the cut on her forehead.
Aria and Spencer are discussing Mona’s “evidence” when Hanna comes in with the bird. She hears about the evidence and asks her friends if it was muddy that night. She doesn’t tell her friend suspicions. They’re too busy caught up in what the bird is saying. Hanna comes right out to ask her mom about that night. Her mom assures her that she didn’t kill Wilden.
Spencer is left with the bird. It’s driving her up the wall so she calls Hanna to come and get it when she realizes the bird isn’t singing a song but repeating a phone number.
Aria’s martial arts instructor comes to her house. He wanted to tell her that he is interested and ask her out. Aria agrees to coffee but has to focus on Spencer’s call.
Paige wants to know what happened today. Emily confesses she was on painkillers because she hurt her shoulder protecting Aria and Mona from “A”. Paige doesn’t want Emily to keep things from her but Emily wants to be free from all the drama.
Spencer is trying to call the number but it’s not working. She, Hanna, and Aria go to record the bird in case of a possible mistake when they notice the cage door is open and so is Spencer’s window.
Hanna’s mother is getting rid of her shoes but unbeknownst to her someone is watching her.
“A” has the bird.
