The cast of Real Housewives of New Jersey had a very intense year. The family drama reached fever pitch. Friendships were forever destroyed. By the end of the last season we saw all the women in a better place together. There were critics saying the truce would not last. However, the women proved the naysayers wrong!
Melissa Gorga posted a picture of herself, her sister-in-law Teresa Giudice and Teresa’s cousins Rosie Pierri and Kathy Wakile having dinner together. The caption said “Cousins Christmas dinner! This makes me smile”. The family hit rock bottom during a healing trip to Lake George. Since then the things that have come up were resolved quickly. Last season ended with at least a truce, if not a full resolution. Melissa said she was done with the family drama for good. It’s been reported that Melissa and Teresa are going out of their way to not fight with each other in season 6 (filming now).
Teresa and her husband Juicy Joe were supported by both of their families following their indictments. Kathy said she hoped her cousins don’t go to jail. Kim DePaola believes Tre and Juicy are innocent. The rest of the cast, however, only said if the worst happened they would help with the children. This implies they are planning what they will do when the Giudices go to jail. They don’t want to believe maybe Teresa and Joe could get a lower sentence or be found innocent. Over the summer Teresa was criticized by Rosie on Watch What Happens live and on Twitter. Is she keeping it real or sticking it to her cousin?
Regardless of what the cast thinks of the situation Teresa and Joe can take comfort in knowing they are no longer estranged from her brother Joe Gorga and her extended family. I’m sure she is drawing strength from knowing the world is no longer against her.
