LIVE recaps begins now!

The show opens with a giant storm. We arrive at Beacon Hills hospital. Chaos has struck! A giant tree branch flies through the window and Scott’s mother tries to handle things. Most of the patients are being evacuated but Cora is still there. Peter shouts, “Hey, is anyone going to take care of my niece.”

Meanwhile, crazy English Teacher Actually I’m a Dark Druid comes to visit Derek. She wants him to listen to her and not to believe anything Scott and Stiles have to say. But Scott and Stiles are already there and have told Derek everything that’s happened. She tries to play coy, but Derek doesn’t seem to be following along with her story . . . . They grill her more: Where’s Stiles’s father? Why did you try to kill Lydia?

Dr. Deaton gave him a bottle of mistletoe. He told him that it can be used as a cure but also as a poison. Scott throws it on her, forcing her to reveal her true self: a disfigured creature. Derek grabs her by the throat, ready to kill her, but she yells, “I’m the only one who can cure your sister. Her life’s in my hands.” He calls Peter, who confirms Cora’s condition. She has mistletoe in her system and is barfing black bile.

In the car, Ms. Blake says to Derek that she’s not doing this because she has to but because she wants to. She says that she’s doing all this because it’s the way it has to be done . . . . she says that if he only knew the whole story, how everything is connected, then things might be different.

Stiles is apprehensive about having Ms. Blake assist them. He thinks that everything is *still* going according to her sinister plans.

They all arrive at the hospital. Scott’s mom says everyone must be out of the hospital in thirty minutes.

Derek holds onto Ms. Blake. She says that he doesn’t have to keep her on a leash. She’s going to help. They stand in the elevator together. Everyone’s on edge.

When they arrive at Cora’s bed, nobody’s there. Black blood lines the floor. Peter Hale comes sliding out of a room. He says, “We have a problem. A big problem.” The Aiden/Ethan Giant Werewolf is ready to make things nasty and crazy. Watch out, everyone!

Derek charges at the werewolf. Scott follows behind and they begin battling. Ethan/Aiden grab Scott. Scott asks them to stop, but they say, “All we want is her!” Ms. Blake makes her escape. She’s the one the Alphas are after. She takes the elevator up but when she gets up to the top floor, Deucalion and Kali have arrived and Deucalion launches a spear at her head. Blake gets back in the elevator and uses her super-magic-dark-druid strength to fend off Kali.

Back at the school, Allison and Isaac are trying to figure out what to do next. Allison’s dad says he’s taking them home. But Isaac says no, he has to get to the hospital. Mr. Argent agrees to drive — because he wants to help.

Scott’s mother runs into Deucalion. She says, “You’re him, aren’t you? The bad guy?” He says, “You have no idea.”

Scott and Co. convene in the basement. Ms. Blake has run off. Stiles says that now Cora and his father are as good as dead. With lights flickering on and off, Ms. Blake walks in. She says that Cora can ONLY be saved by her (and her magic) and she’s happy to do so — as well as tell them where Sheriff Stalinski is — on one condition: Get her out of the hospital, safe and sound, away from the harm of the Alphas. Then she’ll happily oblige. What a shady, shady lady!

Derek rushes at Ms. Blake. Derek still doesn’t like the way she’s acting. Peter suggests torture. Scott’s mom was taken by Deucalion and she comes on the loudspeaker. She asks Scott and his team to deliver Ms. Blake to them. But Ms. Blake says that he won’t hurt his mother because he wants Scott for his pack and wouldn’t necessarily do anything to jeopardize his chances of obtaining him. Everyone learns that Scott is the prophesied True Alpha.

Peter Hale walks out to take on the twins; he injects himself with a big syringe full of epinephrin, claiming it will make him stronger.

Derek and Co. put Cora in an emergency vehicle. The ambulance driver, dead, lies on the ground. Kali walks in with bloody toes. She jingles a set of keys and says, “Julia,” speaking to Ms. Blake, “It really is you.” [note: She did say “Julia” — continue reading to find out why.] Ms. Blake is supposedly a person the Alphas thought they killed many years ago. Blake was gathering sacrificial magic to hopefully put an end to them, and now the Alphas want her dead because *erm* Ms. Blake wants them dead. Derek and Ms. Blake run away because they can’t beat Kali alone. They run into the elevator. The elevator stops. Deucalion lets Melissa (Scott’s mom) go and says that she’s his “gesture of good will.” As she runs away, he whispers, “Be careful out there.”

In the ambulance, Stiles notices that Cora has stopped breathing. He starts freaking out. He begins CPR, but he honestly doesn’t really know what he’s doing.

Ms. Blake and Derek are stuck in the elevator. He thinks about breaking out, but she says that will just make too much noise. Derek then says that someone needs to get the back up generator running.

Scott and Peter hide in a closet. They see a laundry chute and slide down it, landing in the laundry room. Scott receives a text from Derek.

Cora starts breathing again. Stiles, being a good guy, talks to her, tries to comfort her. He talks about how he used to be the guy with the plan, now he’s not sure what his purpose is, that maybe the only thing he’s good for is showing up and finding bodies. He doesn’t want to find his father’s body — it’s one of his biggest fears. There’s a deep growl. The twins walk past, but they don’t notice Stiles and Cora hiding in the vehicle.

Allison, Mr. Argent, and Isaac show up at the hospital. Mr. Argent has his gun ready.

Stiles hears something in the garage outside the ambulance. It’s Peter and Scott. Scott says he has to go back for Ms. Blake and his mom.  Stiles informs Scott that Kali has the keys to the ambulance, so they’ll need to figure out a plan. And fast.

The Wonder Twins grab Scott. They have him by his throat. They say to him, “We’re trying not to hurt you!” Melissa shows up and says, “I’d like to try something,” and she shocks them with a defibrillator. They’re knocked out. She tells him it’s time to go. Way to go, super mom!

Ms. Blake and Derek are still stuck in the elevator. She says: “I know what you’re thinking. That I’m using you. That everything between us has been a lie . . . . But I hope you’re not thinking the most superficial thought: Is that really her face? That slashed face, destroyed by the mistletoe?” She says that her name was Julia before. She says she should’ve chose a different letter for her first name. Derek doesn’t want to hear anymore. But she asks him, “Don’t you want to know what happened?” Derek thinks he knows: “You were an emissary to the Alphas,” he says. She says that she was Kali’s emissary and that she was the one she couldn’t kill.

Kali’s talking to Deucalion about Jennifer/Julia. She tells him about the situation and how she should’ve probably killed her. Her speech is very Kali-like, and you can tell she saved her past emissary — but she left her extremely mangled and almost dead, and didn’t take precautions to ensure that she’d stay gone.

Ms. Blake continues to tell Derek about how she survived. She found her way to that powerful Druid Tree (the namaton), the one where Derek was forced to kill Paige, his first love. She says that that virgin’s blood restored power within the tree and gave her the strength to hold on just a bit longer — to be found. She was found by Sheriff Stalinski. She tells him the myth surrounding mistletoe — and how it went from a weaponized plant to a plant that went overlooked and disregarded. She says that she did what she did because these Alphas have to — that they have to stop wreaking havoc on innocent lives. She tells him how she made an oath the healers, the virgins, the guardians, the warriors, etc. that she would stop them.

But Derek says that she killed innocent people! “So have you,” she counters. Derek says, “You can’t stop them.” She asks him if he’s certain of that. “Before Boyd died, he asked you what happens to a werewolf during the lunar eclipse. You didn’t get a chance to answer,” she continues, “but I think you know what happens.” He does: A werewolf loses all their powers during the lunar eclipse, which is approaching.

Derek, Melissa, Allison, Scott, and Mr. Argent try to get Derek and Ms. Blake out of the hospital. They say they can’t turn the power back on without alerting the Alphas. The twins roam the hallways. Isaac gets in Mr. Argent’s car. He talks on the phone to Allison, who tells him to drive as soon as he sees them.

Allison runs down the hallway. She’s chased by the twins. Kali jumps out of the window once Allison makes it out of the hospital’s front doors. Allison fires an arrow at Kali. Mr. Argent starts shooting. After the distraction, Melissa runs to turn the power back on. The elevator regains power.

Scott runs to the elevator. Derek’s lying on the floor. Ms. Blake’s gone.

Peter gets in the car. He tells Isaac to drive! They narrowly escape the twins.

Scott runs into Deucalion. He says that he can help. He says that if Scott helps him find Ms. Blake then he’ll help find his mother and Sheriff Stalinski. He walks toward him. Stiles tells him to stop, to not do this, that they always have a plan B. But Scott says, “Not this time.” Scott leaves with Deucalion.

Melissa wakes up. She’s been tied up. Sheriff Stalinski is tied up beside her. They’re tied up by the nematon — the ancient, powerful, sacrificial Druid tree that seems to be a major source of druidic magic.

Wow, what an intense episode! Ms. Blake (AKA Julia/Jennifer) escaped again and now she has Stiles’s father and Scott’s mother. Hopefully they’ll save them next week and maybe Scott will finally assert his True Alpha form!  What did you think about this episode? What did you think about Ms. Blake’s backstory and her borderline evil monologues? I thought they were quite intriguing and well written, but tell me your thoughts in the comments section below. I love chatting about this show! So much juicy mythology hidden in these supernatural storylines.
