Looks like Teresa Giudice is screwed. According to a new report from Radar Online, the prosecutor has rejected Teresa’s plea deal even before the court hearing. The deal would have allowed Teresa to get off without any jail time, while Joe Giudice would have suffered the consequences.
A source explained, “Teresa and Joe’s defense team submitted a plea deal on Wednesday but the US Attorney denied it. Teresa wanted a plea deal that keeps her out of jail so she offered to do anything else BUT jail time and have Joe serve all of the time in jail. The prosecutor dismissed the deal outright.”
The source also adds that there’s no way Teresa will manage to get out of this situation unscathed, especially as the prosecution believes that Teresa was in ‘cahoots’ with Joe and was ‘just as much part of orchestrating the scam‘ as he was.
And Teresa won’t be able to count on the fact that she has four children at home to help her out. The prosecutor is apparently ‘pushing for both of them‘ to go to jail, with the source explaining, “They’re going to paint a completely different picture of Teresa and believe that they can show that she was just as involved as Joe in creating the fraud.” The trial is set to begin in October, with ‘no delays and no bullshit.’
Well, the prosecution isn’t pulling any punches, are they? In all honesty, Teresa can cry and complain and throw tantrums, but it’s always been obvious that she and Joe were both involved in the fraud. As such, she should take the blame equally, and I’m glad the prosecution isn’t giving them any of the normal Hollywood leniency.
