This is the week for hometown visits.  The first girl to get a visit from Sean is AshLee.  We are heading down South to Houston, TX.  Sean is visiting with AshLee and he admits that she has always been a frontrunner.  He is happy that she admitted that she loved him in St. Croix and he is ready to meet her family.

The pair are having lunch with AshLee’s parents and telling of their recent trips.  Her mother sees that AshLee is in love with Sean, but her father does not look happy at all.  He gets a chance to talk to him and is worried that her dad will ask if he loves AshLee.  His response is that he is crazy about her and love is on the horizon and he manages to get her dad’s blessing to propose if he does choose her.

Their date is over and Sean leaves, but not before AshLee tells him she loves him one more time.

SEATTLE, WASHINGTON

The next hometown visit is to Seattle to see Catherine.  They go to a fish market and Sean catches some fish.  He does great and then it’s her turn.  She misses the first fish but catches the next one with the one hand.  They seem to be having fun and enjoying the sights of Seattle, but Sean seems a little awkward. They are now off to meet the rest of her family.

Sean gets to see Catherine’s two sisters, her mom and her grandmother.  He seems to be pretty comfortable in her home.  Catherine has some time alone with her sisters and they do not think she is being smart about getting too serious with him.  When Sean talks to her sisters they don’t have anything reassuring for him.  When he talks to her mom she pretty much tells him that she would like Catherine to be true to herself, but that she does give her blessing for Sean to propose if that time comes.

FORT LEONARD WOOD, MO

The next hometown visit is Ft. Leonard Wood to see Lindsay.  Sean is worried about meeting her dad who is a 2-star General.  To ease his mind a bit Lindsay puts him through a mini boot camp and helps him prepare to meet her dad.

They drive up to Lindsay’s parent’s reveals that they live on base.  When they get to the house the family is ecstatic to see the couple.  Sean talks to her mom alone and she seems to respect him and the fact that he won’t just say he loves her on a whim.  She tells him to be himself when meeting her husband.

Sean gets his chance to talk to Lindsay’s dad and he asks for his blessing.  After a few moments her father gives him the okay to propose to Lindsay.  Sean admits that he is even more attracted to her now.

LOS ANGELES, CA

The final hometown visit is to L.A. to see Desiree and her family.  They go on a hike and spend some time together before she meets the rest of the family.  The pair make dinner before her family gets there and there is a knock at the door.  It isn’t her family.  It’s her ex-boyfriend and he wants to know where she has been and to let her know that he loves her.  Sean is just standing there watching the drama unfold when the ex begins to call him an actor and tell Des that the show isn’t real.  I don’t know but it’s starting to look a little more like a scripted show.  Sean is not happy and tells the guy that he is standing right there and not to put his hands on him.  Des then uses the time to make a confession.  She tells Sean…”Gotcha!”  Everyone starts laugh and Sean knows that Des was getting him back for him pranking her.

As the actor leaves, the pair enjoy their time together and her family finally shows up.  The night goes well with her parents, but her brother throws a wrench in things when he tells Des that the situation is stupid to him and he does not think Sean is the one or that her relationship with Sean will last.

Des’ brother pulls him to the side and insults him by calling him a playboy and telling him that he pretty much thinks he’s a fraud.  Sean is visibly upset and tells her brother that he’s sorry he got that impression of him.  They go back to the dining room and her brother continues to be a jerk.  Her parents are upset with him and embarrassed and they begin to talk about the weather.  At this point Sean decides that it is time for him to leave and is trying not to let Des’ brother affect his decision.  Des and her parents are upset with her brother.

After the hometown dates Sean is sure about AshLee and Lindsay, but he’s at a crossroads when it comes to Des and Catherine.  With Catherine he thinks they may be on different paths and she is very independent.  With Des he is upset that she values her brother’s opinion so much he will always affect their lives.

ROSE CEREMONY

Just as Sean is about to give out the first rose Des calls him to the side.  She apologizes to him for her brother and he tells her that she didn’t have to apologize and that it’s okay.

Sean goes back to the rose ceremony and hands the first rose to AshLee.  He gives the second rose to Lindsay.  As he picks up the last rose he stares at the two girls that are left, sets the rose back down and walks off.  He says that he is having a really hard time and he is told to take his time so he can get his choice right.

Sean admits that he didn’t anticipate Des pulling him to the side and that he planned to send her home, but now he doesn’t know what to do.  In the end he chooses Catherine.

As he walks Des out he tells her that he hopes he doesn’t regret his decision in the morning and she tells him that she believes he has made a mistake.  This good bye looks hard for the both of them.
