The Battle for the top 6 is about to begin – 2 acts will go home this week.

First up tonight is Rion Page who Demi says she is prouder and prouder each week of her.  Demi is worried because it is easy to get distracted with 25 people behind you.  Demi wants her to keep growing.  Rion is dedicating her song to her mother who does a lot of things for her and she is thankful to have her as a Mom.

Rion Paige singing “Swingin”  by John Anderson – Kelly said, “Rion has just put her diva hat on,  wonderful job!  Your vocal was good.  I did not know you were so flirty.”  Paulina: “Blondy I love you so much, I am so excited for this moment.”  Simon: “Did you choose this song, because thank God you did it was the perfect song – you handled the choreography great – you are as cute as a cupcake.  What you showed tonight is the sort of artist you should be.”  Demi: “I have to say it was your best performance, you killed it.  Simon you have to watch out.  I love you Rion, and I am thankful for you.”

Restless Road dedicated their song tonight to Uncle Bill.  He inspired them.  He crashed in an air show and did not make it.  They are all dedicating the song to him.

Restless Road singing “Life Is A Highway” By Rascal Flatts – Kelly said, “I will definitely say you guys worked hard this week and everything came together.”  Demi said, “You guys did very well and you guys look like stars up there – this is probably my favorite performance from you.”  Paulina said: “You guys, I love you guys.  I can feel the relationship outside the stage on the stage.  You guys did much better than last week.  There is nothing more sexy than a country song.”  Simon said, “You girls are in happy mood thank goodness, Great song choice you did great this week.  I worried about the song.  You made the song work.  I like the way you look.”

Jeff Gutt is dedicating the song to his Dad because he taught him about hard work and how to be a good Father.  Jeff’s father is proud of him.

Jeff Gutt “Feeling Good”  by Nina Simone –  Demi said: “WOW, I never thought I would hear you say this song but you killed it.  You did amazing.”  Paulina said: “What a great job, I loved it.  I think you killed it!”  Simon said: “It was absolutely fantastic, from the minute you grabbed the microphone you owned it.  I love your Dad.  I think you are a decent guy, you deserve a break.  This is by far your best performance.”  Kelly said: “You nailed it.  Incredible job.  I will be downloading.”   Jeff got a standing ovation from the judges!

Josh Levi wished her grandmother had been there for his performance last week.  This is his first grandmother without his grandmother – he wants to dedicate tonight’s performance to his grandmother his biggest fan and the glue that keeps his family together.  Josh’s grandmother is her to see him perform tonight.

Josh Levi “Treasure”  by Bruno Mars – Kelly said,“When i say you let us into your world it was so wonderful to watch.  I don’t know what myspace you were in, you were animated.  You are a star, you have so much charisma.  You are exquisite.”  Demi said, “That was the cutest thing ever.  Putting the hat on the girl was cute to.  I feel like you have done a great job with him Paulina.”  Simon said, “I don’t know if you were drinking tons of energy drink.  You were jumping on everything.  My only slight criticism is you have to be careful the choreography does not date you.”  Paulina said, “Everyone agrees with me, you are fantastic.  You make us feel you do this effortless.”

Carlito Olivero last week he felt like America hated him and like he let everyone down.  His parents are his biggest inspiration and he is dedicating his song to them.  His family worked hard to keep the room over his head.  Carlito is proud to be his parents.

Carlito Olivero “La Copa de la Vida”  by Ricky Martin – Kelly said, “It finally looked like you were having fun.  You were not in your head, you just let yourself free.  Do it even more.”  Demi said, “That was amazing and probably by far my favorite performances you have ever performed.  You have a real place in the market.  Paulina nailed it – you need to stick to this.”  Simon said, “After a few weeks of dodgy performances you now showed us you are a great performer.  It takes guts to come back fighting and I am proud of you.”  Paulina said, “I love the way you have been performing.  I love the advice Simon gave you last week.  I love you.”

Alex & Sierra – Sierra has only been singing for one year.  Sierra has felt like the week link and thinks Alex would be better off without her.  Alex is thankful that she is here with him.  He would never auditioned without her.  Alex is dedicating his song to Sierra and Sierra is dedicating the song to Alex.

Alex & Sierra – “I Knew You Were Trouble”  by Taylor Swift – Kelly said, “Sierra I heard you say that he is better about me.  Look at you honey you are a perfect 10.  I was not crazy about this version of the song.  You both sound great together.  Your personality shined though like the star like you are.”  Demi said, “You said you would know if people would love or hate it.  At first I hated it, but you guys made me love it.  It is so different from the original song.  You turned the song into your own.  You nailed it.”  Paulina said, “I love that type of trouble.  I love how much you two are in love.  There is no one like you on the market.”  Simon said, “The minute they heard the Big Band theme you guys chose this song.  I think you did a great vocal performance Sierra.”

Lillie McCloud is dedicating her performance to her fiance, Terry who she is blessed he came into her life.  Terry is the rock in her life and she thanked him.

Lillie McCloud sang “Summertime”  by Ella Fitzgerald – Demi said: “Lillie OMG you have been hiding that range so long.  Kelly amazing job, I am blown away.”  Paulina said: “Each week I am so excited to see you and you bring it week after week.”  Simon said, “I loved the last note, but, because I wanted to happen – I wanted you to get off kick your shoes off and let your self go.  It was no raw enough for you.  I wish I mentored you on that song.”  Kelly said, “Simon shut up!”

Ellona Santiago is deadicating her song to her sister, Julie Rose who has been a second mother to her.  Her sister was recently diagnosed with Stage 4 cancer.  Elonna is so thankful to her sister.

Ellona Santiago sang “Mama Knows Best”  by Jessie J. – Kelly said: “That was your best performance since you have been here.”  Paulina said: “I am a big fan of yours and I love that you are in command.  You are a superstar.”  Simon said, “I did not say you were a Muppet, I said you were a puppet last week.  This week it was a game changer.  Next week lose the dancers.  You are an incredible singer, fantastic choice of song.”  Demi said, “Ellona I could not be more proud of you.  Your story touched so many people, I am really really thankful for you.  I agree with Simon, you could win this competition.”

ROUND 2

The eight contestants are going to sing, “Cry Me  A River” – each contestant is going to get a small part of the song to sing.  Michael Bublé is coaching the contestants.

Kelly thought that Lillie sang one line and it was all over – it was amazing. I was wondering why Restless Road did not give me any harmony.  Struggling  everyone else blended in.  Alexa and Sierra soared.

Demi Ellona you did incredible, Rion you did great.  Ellona, Josh and Carlito stood out.  The people who could have given more was Lillie.

Paulina the highlight for me my two boys Josh and Carlito.  Ellona I don’t know if it is gold on you but your did amazing.  Who disappointed me – was Jeff I expected more of him.

Simon says someone had an outstanding night and that was Ellona.  We heard some great vocals tonight.

Only 6 will make it ahead tomorrow!!

THE END!
