True Blood season 6 is coming at us this summer, and there’s only one problem we’ve found ourselves faced with: Are we really, I mean really, ready for the wrath of Billith — the crazy Bill Compton-Lilith hybrid creature that was formed in the finale of season 5? Honestly, folks, I’m not sure if I can handle her/him/it/whatever try to kill Eric and Sookie and all my Bon Temps homies. I will definitely be stressed out during this entire season. If spoilers hurt your eyes, ears, and tummies, please look away now.
HBO recently released a first look at the upcoming season and, while things are definitely looking pretty shady for the citizens of this messed up little Southern town, there are sure to be some sweet moments — and definitely some instances of love. Now that Bill has been deemed temporarily OUT OF ORDER due to him being possessed by one of the most powerful vamps in the universe (like, srsly, she’s basically the goddess of all vamps), that leaves Sookie’s heart a little less conflicted.
Last season we saw her really separating herself from Bill, but I think it’s safe to say that a piece of her and him as well have never really let go of their connections to one another. Now that he’s super crazy, perhaps she can finally move on with Eric. Or not. Freakin’ Alcide’s still in the picture, so I don’t think we’re going to be free and clear of any love triangles this season.
While this Billith creature will definitely pose the ultimate threat to the supernatural world this season, there’s another war brewing between the vampire world and the human world. This war has been a long time coming, and it seems as if the show will continue to explore this story. “If the humans want war, we’ll give them war,” Eric Northman says in the new trailer.
We can also expect to see some more development with the Pam and Tara relationship — but, of course, things aren’t always going to be peaches and cream. Looks like the relationship might get a bit feisty. And we’d suspect nothing less from these two.
