The Duggars are always in the news for the worst reasons possible, and this latest report follows in that trend. For those who don’t know, the Duggar clan of 19 Kids and Counting put out a social media challenge to all their fans, and in the hundreds of pictures they received, there were a couple showing same-sex couples kissing. Of course, the Duggars are homophobic sacks of S***, so they obviously removed the pictures as soon as they saw them.
Then, when word got around about what they were doing, they were met with criticism on every end of the spectrum. Unfortunately, the Duggars are sticking to their decision to remove the same-sex pictures, claiming that their actions are in ‘value’ with their religious beliefs. #Ugh times a thousand. To them, being homophobic means being religious. That’s how screwed up these people are.
They even released a statement saying, “We will always stand for truth and the values we hold dear without compromise but we will do so in love and kindness.” Imagine, in this day and age, people like this still exist. Not only do they exist, but they have the platform to speak out and influence their followers, most of whom are young and stupid and don’t know any better. It makes the whole thing quite sad, no?
Now, I don’t know whether the Duggars will face any major blowback from the media after this. Everyone already knew what they were, and nobody important ever takes them seriously. It’s just unfortunate that they still have fans, but if you’re still a fan of theirs after this, then I don’t know what to say to you….
