The first episode of 19 Kids And Counting begins with Jessa getting ready for her mini golf date.  She is officially courting Ben and they are going on a double date with her parents Michelle and Jim Bob.

Jill is taking her “Buddy Group” of Joy, James, and Jennifer to the supermarket to that they can get supplies to make pickles.  Dill pickles are a family staple in the Duggar house.

Josh and Anna are currently living in Washington DC with their three children.  Josh is busy working every day and Anna tries to keep the kids busy.  Today she is assembling a playhouse with the.  Josh bought it as a gift for the kids, but she has to put it together before they can actually play with it.

Jim Bob, Michelle, Ben, and Jessa head out on their mini golfing date.  Jim Bob uses the opportunity to discuss Jessa and Ben’s boundaries.  Ben says that right now all he and Jessa do is “side hug” and they have no intention of going any further anytime soon.  Ben says that maybe farther down the road they will start holding hands while they are courting.  They plan to wait until their wedding day before they start kissing.  Jim Bob and Michelle were impressed with Ben’s values, her mini golf skills not so much though.

Meanwhile in Washington Anna is having some serious problems assembling the playhouse.  Micheal and Mackynzie are getting cranky and bored watching her out the pieces together.  Anna really wants to finish it before Josh comes home from work so she can surprise him.  After two hours the playhouse is complete.

Back at the Duggar home Jill has returned from the supermarket.  She makes homemade dill pickles from a recipe she found online, with the assistance of her little helpers Joy, James, and Jennifer.  They plan to save the Duggar family $50 a week by making their own pickles.
The second episode of 19 Kids And Counting opens with Jill, Michelle, and Jim Bob together in the living-room.  Their daughter Jill is of courting age, and is currently in a pre-courtship with a boy named Derrick Dillard.  Derrick is from Arkansas but he is currently doing missionary work in Nepal.  He contacted Jim Bob a few years ago after seeing his family on television, and he wanted Jim to be his “prayer partner.”  Jim enjoyed video chatting with Derrick so much he decided to hook him up with his daughter Jill.  Jill has been video chatting with him for a few months now, but her parents have to supervise her while she is chatting with him online.  None of the Duggar family members have ever met Derrick in person yet, he will be returning to the States in a few months and Jill is excited to finally meet him in person.

In Washington Anna is home with her three children while Josh is at work.  Their oldest child, Mackynzie, is four years old now.  So, Anna is beginning to homeschool her, and it has been a bumpy road so far.

For the first time in a long time, Michelle Duggar is not pregnant (She wishes she was though.)  So, she has decided to take this time to spend some time with her children and maybe pick up a new hobby.  She sits down with her 15 year old son Jeremiah and he tries to teach her how to play chess.

The older Duggar sisters call a family meeting in the living-room, they want all of the kids to help them do something special for their Mom and Dad, like a talent show or a dinner theater.  A lot of the older kids are going their separate ways soon, so they want to put together one last hurrah.  It is going to take them a few weeks to get their show put together.  Joy takes the four youngest kids into her room and begins teaching them a new song for the show.

Jessa, Jana, Jinger, and Jill are writing a book together, it’s called “Growing Up Duggar.”  They have received a lot of emails from young girls that want to know what it is like growing up in the Duggar house, so they think that this book will help them out.  The four of them have been working on their book for the last two years.

Jill heads to her parents’ bedroom to speak to them in private about Derrick.  Jill tells them that she “thinks she is in love with someone she has never met.”  But, the only way she will know for sure is if she meets him in person.  Derrick isn’t coming back to the states for a few months, so Jill wants her parents to take her to Nepal so she can see him.  Jim Bob agrees to take a trip to Nepal with Jill in a few weeks so that she can meet Derrick face to face.  Jill is nervous and excited, she can’t wait to see if her relationship with Derrick becomes just a friendship or courtship.

THE END!!
