It’s finally Hollywood Week on American Idol!  Tonight’s episode of American Idol kicks off with Jennifer lopez, Harry Connick Jr, and Keith Urban announcing that there will be cuts made tonight.

The first contestant they want to hear again is Salt Lake City’s Johnny Newcomb, singing “Pumped Up Kicks.”  Up next the judges have 20 year old Connor Zwetsch, from the Atlanta auditions, sing another song for them.  16 year old Ali Jane Henderson takes the Hollywood Week stage next and sings another song for the American Idol judges.  Tristen Langley, the second generation American Idol contestant from Austin has to sing for the American Idol judges next at Hollywood week.  15 year old Morgan Deplitch didn’t impress Harry during her tryouts, because he thought her song choice was inappropriate for her age.  She chose a little less of a controversial song for Hollywood Week.

The American Idol judges are getting frustrated because so far the contestants during Hollywood Week are bombing on stage, they have no idea why they even gave them Golden Tickets during tryouts.

The judges have heard from all of the contestants they were unsure of during tryouts.  52 American Idol contestants are currently up for elimination form the judges.  Jennifer, Harry, and Keith separate the maybes into two groups.  They put the groups on two buses, one of the buses is going to the hotel, and the other group os going to the airport to go home because they are eliminated from American Idol.  The 20 singers on Bus #2 are safe for now, the other 32 singers are on their way home.

It’s Day #2 of Hollywood Week and the first line of contestants take the stage.  Jennifer, Harry, and Keith eliminate 5 more singers, including the quirky music teacher Samantha Clades, who sang the Jeffersons Theme Song during the auditions.

The next line of singers takes the stage to perform for the American Idol judges.  Spencer Lloyd blows the American Idol judges away with his rendition of “Say Something.”  Spencer Lloyd is going to the next round of American Idol.

Austin Wolfe, a 17 year old from Utah sings “Take It All” by Adele for Jennifer, Keith, and Harry Connick Jr.  Bria Anai performs next in line after Austin Wolfe, followed by Selena Morreno.  Selena auditioned alongside her twin sister Sierra, but Selena was the only one that received a Golden Ticket.  Selena chokes during her audition on Hollywood Week, and stops in the middle of her song.  Austin and Bria are moving on to the next round of American Idol.  Selena Morreno is eliminated from American Idol.

The next line of American Idol contestants take the stage.  17 year old Sam Woolf takes the stage with the next line of American Idol contestants.  He is followed by singer Keri Lynn Roche from Michigan, and 22 year old CJ Harris.  CJ, Keri Lynn, and Sam Woolf are all moving on to the next round of American idol.

Alex Preston, a year old from New Hampshire, takes the American Idol Stage next.  He is nervous because his style is a lot different from all of the other contestants.  Jessi Roach sings after Alex Preston, she received a Golden Ticket during the Austin auditions.  Jessi and Alex will be moving on to the next round of American Idol.

The next line of American Idol contestants takes the stage to sing for Jennifer, Harry, and Keith Urban.  When Dexter is done auditioning, he has Keith Urban play a few notes on his guitar before he moves on to the next round of American Idol.

Maurice Townsend and Casey Thrasher stole the American Idol judges’ hearts during their auditions when they stated they were trying to make it on American Idol to support their kids back home.  Maurice and Casey are both moving on to the next round of American Idol.
21 year old Keith London takes the stage next to sing a bizarre rendition of “If I Were A Boy,” a write over of “If I Were A Girl.”  Keith distracts the judges so much by singing “IF I Were A Boy” instead of “IF I Were A Girl.”  The judges tell him to sing a few more bars of another song, so he sings “Love.”  He manages to woo the judges, despite his little hiccup in song choice, so Keith London is moving on to the next round of American Idol.

Once the judges have heard all of the American Idol contestants, they narrow their search down to 104 singers.  Harry, Jennifer, and Keith reveal to the remaining 104 singers that tomorrow is Group Day.  They will be hanging out song lists to the remaining 104 contestants, and they will have to divide into groups of three or four to perform tomorrow.  The contestants begin scattering and searching for groups to partner up with, and fighting to get time with the vocal coaches before they have to perform tomorrow.
Group Day AKA American Hell Day is upon us, and the contestants’ true colors are beginning to show.  This American Idol Group Day is going to be one for the books, and at least HALF of the singers will be eliminated by the time it is over.

The End!
