American Ninja Warrior NBC’s obstacle course competition airs tonight with a new episode called “Dallas Finals.” On tonight’s show the top 30 contenders from the Dallas Qualifier compete in the Dallas Finals course, which includes obstacles such as the Salmon Ladder, Swinging Frames, Pole Grasper and Spider Climb.
On the last episode of “American Ninja Warrior” the top 30 contestants who were able to make it through the Venice Qualifier competed in the Venice Final course, this is where it all mattered who ever made it to the next round be one step closer to winning the title of American Ninja Warrior along with $500,000. On tonight’s episode “American Ninja Warrior” travels back to Dallas, Texas where the top 30 competitors from the Dallas Qualifier tackle the Dallas Finals course. They will face the Salmon Ladder, Swinging Frames, Pole Grasper and Spider Climb. The Dallas competitors will vie for a chance to compete in the Las Vegas finals, to win a cash prize of $500,000 and the title of “American Ninja Warrior.” Matt Iseman and Akbar Gbaja Biamila hosts as Jenn Brown co-hosts.

Tonight’s episode of American Ninja Warrior is the Dallas city finals. The first six obstacles remain the same from qualifying, the ninjas must race through the quintuple steps, the log drop, the tilting table, the swing jump, the ring toss, and the warped wall. Four obstacles have been added, the salmon ladder, the swinging frames, the pole grasper, and the spider climb. If they complete those ten obstacles, they are guaranteed a qualifying spot in nationals.
The first athlete to try and complete the city finals course tonight is personal chef Eric McKeethen. He cruises through the quintuple steps and the log drop, but unfortunately the tilting tables get the best of him.
Up next is ANW alum Matthew Laessig, after five seasons, this is the first time Matthew has ever made it to the city finals. Laessig runs through the quintuple steps, the log drop, the tilting table, the swing jump, and unfortunately misses a ring on the ring toss and he is out of the competition.
Engin Dolen, a walk-on truck driver from Texas, is the next athlete to try to complete the Dallas city final course. Dolen passes through the quintuple steps, the log drop, the tilting table, the swing jump, the ring toss, the warped wall, and unfortunately falls during the salmon ladder.
Up next is Geoffrey Moetil, a 39 year old stuntman from Texas. Geoffrey jumps on the first quintuple steps and grabs a hold of the back of the quintuple step. He jumps off the course and on to the ground and storms off, shouting that he broke the rules by grabbing the back of the step and he was going to be disqualified for it anyways.
Daniel Manuel, a 40 year old firefighter from Oklahoma, is up next on the American Ninja Warrior course. Daniel runs through the quintuple steps, the log drop, the tilting table and the swing jump. However, he loses his grip on the swing toss and is out of the race.
30 year old pastor and American Ninja Warrior alum John Morrin is the next athlete to try and complete the Dallas city finals course. Morrin passes through the quintuple steps, the log drop, the tilting table, the swing jump, the ring toss, the warped wall, the salmon ladder, and he falls on the swinging frame and is out of the race.
Jeremy Morgan, a 24 year old hailing from Mississippi is the next athlete to try to complete the course. His father Mark and his brother Josh both competed in Dallas tryouts with Jeremy, but Jeremy was the only member of the family that made it to the finals. Jeremy runs through the quintuple steps, the log drop, the tilting table, the swing jump, scales the warped wall, the salmon ladder, the swinging frames, and the pole grasper. He propels up the spider climb and hits the buzzer, he is the first competitor to complete the Dallas city finals and he is heading to the finals in Las Vegas.
Fan favorite and Ninja Warrior gym owner and trainer Sam Sann is ready to try to complete the Dallas city finals course. He runs through the quintuple steps, the log drop, the tilting table, the swing jump, the ring toss, the warped wall, the salmon ladder, and unfortunately loses his grip on the swinging frames.
28 year old personal trainer Tremayne Dortch is the next athlete to try and conquer the Dallas city finals course. Tremayne runs through the quintuple steps, the log drop, the tilting table, the swing jump, the ring toss, and scales the warped wall with ease. Tremayne cruises through the salmon ladder, the swinging frames, the pole grasper, and flies up the spider climb and hits the buzzer.
Abel Gonzalez is the next athlete to try to complete the Dallas city finals course and move on to Las Vegas. Abel runs through the quintuple steps, the log drop, the tilting table, the swing jump, the ring toss, and scales the warped wall. Abel races through the salmon ladder, swinging frames, the pole grasper, and up the spider climb to hit the buzzer and secure his place in the Vegas finals.
Cass Clawson, an acrobatic dunker for the New Orleans Pelicans, is the next competitor to try and complete the Dallas city finals course. Cass runs through the quintuple steps, the hanging log, the tilting table, the ring toss, and up the warped wall. Cass cruises through the salmon ladder, and unfortunately can’t make the transition on the swinging frame and falls off the course.
Up next is Kevin Klein, a flag runner for the Dallas cowboys and cheerleading coach. Klein rushes through the quintuple steps, the log drop, the tilting table, the ring toss, and up the warped wall. Klein flies up the salmon ladder, the swinging frame, and unfortunately loses his grip on the pole grasper and falls in to the water. Even though he didn’t complete the course he has made it far enough to move on to the Las Vegas finals.
Kacy Catanzaro, the first American Ninja Warrior to ever make it up the warped wall, is up next. Kacy moves through the quintuple steps, the log drop, the tilting table, the swing jump, the ring toss, and up the warped wall. Kacy cruises through the salmon ladder, the swinging frames, the pole grasper, and up the spider climb. Kacy Catanzaro is the first woman to conquer a city final course, and is moving on to the Las Vegas finals.
The final athlete to compete tonight is rookie Dillon Gates. If he completes the course, then fan favorite Sam Sann will be booted to 16th place and will not be able to move on to Las Vegas finals. Gates cruises through the quintuple steps, the log drop, the tilting table, the ring toss, and up the warped wall. Unfortunately Dillon gets caught up on the salmon ladder and falls off the course, which means Sam Sann is moving on to the next course.
