Jay-Z finally decided to throw Kanye West a bone by agreeing to be his best man. After all the begging and pleading that he was no doubt subject to, do you think he regrets finally giving in?
However, reports suggest that Jay-Z’s agreement also comes with a lot of stipulations. For one, it’s possible that Jay-Z only agreed to the wedding because Beyonce will no longer be accompanying him, which makes sense given recent… uh, developments. We know there’s no way Beyonce would be caught dead at Kim Kardashian‘s wedding, and this way, Jay-Z stays loyal to his friend without bringing his wife into the mix. Of course all indications are that Beyonce and Jay-Z are not really going to be husband and wife for much longer.
Sources close to the wedding also explain that Jay-Z only agreed to come to the wedding provided that he’s not recorded for the E! wedding special. In fact, E!’s only got permission to video events before and after the actual ceremony, but nothing from the vows themselves. This will probably provide some relief to the higher-profile guests in the audience, likely all from Kanye’s side. I mean, who does Kim know that would actually shy away from a TV camera?
Either way, Jay-Z will now apparently be attending the famewhore wedding of the century, with or without his wife. And Kanye is ecstatic at the news, as we all surmised he would be. Sources tell Radar Online, “Kanye was jumping up and down, he was so excited. He was running around Kris [Jenner‘s] house to find Kim saying, ‘Baby, look! Look! Jay and B are coming!’”
Isn’t that almost… sad? His joy in the wedding is coming not from the wedding itself, but the fact that he’s convinced one of his oldest friends to come? Otherwise, he looks and acts like a miserable curmudgeon who would rather be anywhere else in the world than getting married to Kim. Obviously, that’s now how he feels, but would it kill him to actually display some enthusiasm once in a while? Well, now that Jay-Z’s attending and will be standing right next to him, maybe Kanye can pretend that he’s reading his vows to him instead.
