Tonight on CBS BIG BROTHER returns for an all new episode in their 16th season. On tonight’s episode the HoH competition is held along with nominations for eviction are revealed.
On the last episode, not only did one house guest end up eliminated, but we also got to see a whole week of BB happen during the evening. In the first elimination we said goodbye to Nicole who actually had a chance to return to the Big Brother house from the Jury house, only to quickly be sent back. The second elimination was Christine and she was none to happy about it, being that she was backstabbed by her alliance. Julie showed us a button – The #BBRewind – and said it is a new twist. It could pull the next two nominees off the block for a total rewind and redo of the whole week. Did you watch the last episode? If you missed it we recapped it all, right here for you.
On tonight’s episode the new head of household moves into his room and nominates two house guests for elimination. There will also be a few surprises revealed tonight. RECAP: We see the others hear Christine get booed. Derrick says he saw the true Christine when she walked out without saying goodbye to all of them and the audience reaction. Victoria thanks them for picking her. Cody says he doesn’t know what she was saying to have people boo her when she left. The group talks about how maybe she was making fun of them. Then they see the button and wonder what it’s for. Caleb says it could be for a prize or a punishment.
Frankie tells him he’ll kill him in his sleep if he touches it. Frankie says he’s a huge fan of the show and knows that of course he’ll push the button if he gets a chance. They wonder if the next HOH lets you go in and push it to get a luxury. Caleb and the others go scrambling to try and find it. Caleb thinks it’s in the have-not room. They head into the have-not room and it’s there with a screen that reads “it’s your choice.”
Derrick says he’s playing for more than just himself and doesn’t want curiosity to jeopardize his game. Frankie says it won’t be anything good but Caleb wants to push it. Derrick says it’s Pandora’s Box and can ruin someone’s game. Frankie says it’s cool. They all finally leave. Outside they talk about how they’ve never heard anyone booed like they heard it.
Frankie says he thinks it’s Christine’s and Cody’s relationship that got her booed but says no one faults Cody. Frankie says Cody didn’t do anything wrong then asks if he had sex with her. Cody says no and they tell him that they think Christine was in love or deep like with her. Cody thinks this whole conversation is disrespectful and says they were friends.
Cody says he’s a flirty friendly guy and it was part of his game. He says he’ll have to see if he gets booed when he goes. Victoria walks out and the guys all do a final four group hug. Frankie plays along but doesn’t trust them. He says he needs to win HOH. Caleb says they have one more week to go to get it down to just the bomb squad.
Derrick and Cody meet in private and talk about how they’re watching out for each other. Caleb comes in and they stop talking and lie down like they’re napping. Caleb says he thinks Frankie can win and doesn’t want to take him to the end. They discuss strategies for getting Frankie out. Cody says if he or Caleb win HOH they have to take a shot at Frankie. He wants Caleb to put his big boy pants on.
It’s time for the HOH challenge. It’s farmer themed. There are giant shovels acting as ramps. Derrick hosts. He says you have to plant sees on your shovel then walk down the shovel handle and fill up your shovel spade with seeds. You can only carry them one at a time and if your or your seeds fall, you have to start over. It’s more of a seed-saw.
Frankie wants to win bad because he’s sure he’s up for a backdoor. Cody is also ready to play hard. They step onto the shovels and it lifts up. You place it down. Then you have to walk back. This is a total balancing act. Caleb is struggling. Frankie is doing pretty well. Cody is right behind him. Victoria is lagging then knocks hers off. Caleb is finally able to catch up.
Frankie continues to do well and he’s tied with Caleb. Then Derrick announces rain and it starts pouring down on them. Cody loses his and has to reset. Cody says when he was in the infantry, if it wasn’t raining, it wasn’t training, so it won’t affect him. Victoria falls off again and has to restart. She’s worried she’s going to hurt herself.
Cody is falling father behind and he’s getting discouraged watching Frankie pull way ahead. Frankie says each seed is different so how you position them matters. Frankie and Caleb are still neck and neck. Caleb is trying to focus on just him and Caleb. There are four seeds to go. Derrick says he feels safe with either but hopes Caleb wins since he’s easier to manipulate.
[9:03:44 PM] Rachel Rowan: Caleb loses his balance and knocks some loose. He knocked three out and this means that Frankie is poised to win. Frankie rechecks his and then goes for his last one. Cody is in a panic hoping that Frankie will screw up. Frankie takes his time walking back. He just has to lower the shovel back down with all the seeds in it so he can push the button.
Frankie wins yet another HOH. I think he’s more of a competition beast than beast mode cowboy. Remember when he dominated that one football challenge when Caleb sat down and refused to help him with. Cody is disappointed that he didn’t win this all-important HOH and Caleb is angry. Frankie says it’s time for him to take a shot at them.
Everyone heads to the back room to the button and sure enough, it’s uncovered. It says the choice is yours, it only takes one. Frankie says it could be to redo the HOH. Frankie says they have to push it and see what happens. They vote. Frankie and Cody want to push it. Caleb, Victoria and Derrick aren’t sure. They worry that Christine could come back in.
Derrick really wants to do it, but is thinking about his game and is worried about how much of a game changer it could be since the word game is all over the room. They ask what’s the worst that could happen and Derrick says someone could be sent home right now. They all gather around and push the button. A clock start that says five days, 19 hours and a bunch of minutes.
They wonder what this means and if they made a mistake pushing it so fast. Victoria tells Derrick she’s bummed about the HOH and Derrick tells her not to be too bummed because he thinks the timer is going to change the game. He tells her that she’s the last girl in #BB16 and tells her she’s the best girl player. She’s totally flattered. He’s happy she’s easy to manipulate. She tells him he’s the best ever.
Later, Derrick gives Frankie a hug and tells him he’s happy that he won. Caleb comes in wearing just his undies and says he lost his pants. Frankie says he has to think about who has kept him safe. The three of them talk. Caleb says to put up someone that has your back the least. Cody is in the shower and is missing this whole convo.
Derrick doesn’t want Cody on the block but doesn’t speak up for the sake of his game. The doorbell rings and they are all shocked. Victoria yells for Frankie. Derrick wonders if it has to do with the button. The door opens and it’s Jeff and Jordan from seasons 11 and 13 – the best BB couple ever. Cody wonders if they like his dino outfit.
Frankie runs down squealing and hugs them. Victoria says they are the cutest couple. They congratulate them on the final 5 but tells them it stinks and that the house is disgusting. Jeff says they were much cleaner. Frankie says they were going to clean today and they all blame it on Cody and call it his dio dome. Cody is totally embarrassed.
They tell them to get dressed and meet them in the backyard for a special competition and tell Cody the punishment if over. Jeff says they came to spend time with the final five but Jordan doesn’t know the surprise he has in store for her. They head into the backyard and he tells her they’re not there for a competition. He tells her he’s been around the world and has never found anyone like her.
She asks a couple of times if he’s joking. He drops to one knee and proposes. She clasps her hands and says yes. They are both shaking. It’s a #BBProposal. She says she loves it. She says it doesn’t feel real and she asks about the competition. He tells her there is no competition and says this is just for her. Then their little dog comes out. She asks if their families are there and they are.
She’s in shock as their families come out. Jordan says that’s when it set in that’s it for real. He tells her that’s as romantic as it gets and tells her to soak it in. Jordan says this is the house that brought them together. She says she’s been bugging him for a long time to propose and he hasn’t. Then the house guests come out carrying a cake and champagne for them.
Jeff tells them he has one more surprise – Jeff Eldridge is there to sing. Jordan gets really excited. She says it was the icing on the cake (although their cake also had icing). Caleb and the others gather around. Caleb is geeking out – he’s a big fan of his. He says he’s happier than a dad-gum tornado in a trailer park. He plays his new song “Mean to Me.”

It’s time for Frankie to make his #Nominations. Victoria says she’s 99% sure she’s going to get nominated again and hopes the person nominated next to her will be going home. Cody says it seems obvious to put Victoria up but Frankie could make a big move. Caleb is sure he’s safe. Frankie says if he makes the wrong move, it could cost him the win.
He calls them for the nomination ceremony. He first nominates Cody. Cody says damn it. His second nominee is Victoria. He tells Cody he loves them and not to be insulted but complimented since they both prove they handle the pressure of the block well. He tells all the players he loves them and adjourns the ceremony. Victoria says this is her seventh nomination but she’s confident.
Derrick says things can change since there are only two votes and the veto competition to come. Cody says Frankie better hit with his shot or he’s coming right back at him.
