Tonight on NBC their new riveting police drama CHICAGO PD airs with a new episode called, “Different Mistakes.” On tonight’s episode at the precinct Ruzek (Patrick Flueger) helps Burgess (Marina Squerciati) get back at desk sergeant Platt (guest star Amy Morton). On last week’s episode the Fitori murder case was brought to the intelligence unit and Voight’s (Jason Beghe) son, Justin (guest star Josh Segarra), might be involved. Gradishar (guest star Robin Weigert) filled Antonio (Jon Seda) in on the arrangement between Internal Affairs and Voight which increased friction between Voight and Antonio. Back at the precinct Ruzek (Patrick Flueger) helped Burgess (Marina Squerciati) get back at desk sergeant Platt (guest star Amy Morton). Sophia Bush, Jesse Lee Soffer, Elias Koteas, LaRoyce Hawkins and Archie Kao also star. America Olivo and Joseph Reegan guest star.
On tonight’s episode Voight (Jason Beghe) is assigned a new Internal Affairs handler, Stillwell (guest star Ian Bohen) who proves to be suspicious of Voight’s actions. During an investigation involving a gambling ring Voight is forced to work with his former partner from the Gang Unit, Shi (guest star Mark Dacascos). At the same time Halsted (Jesse Lee Soffer) remains fixated on Lonnie Rodiger (guest star Matthew Sherbach) and enlists Jin’s (Archie Kao) help to gather more information. Meanwhile, Ruzek’s (Patrick Flueger) inflated ego leads Olinsky (Elias Koteas) to take him down a peg and offer a great opportunity to Atwater (LaRoyce Hawkins). Jon Seda, Sophia Bush, and Marina Squerciati also star. Sydney Tamiia Poitier guest stars.

RECAP: Erin walks into a home full of people, it seems to be an old house and the people there look like they could be on some sort of drugs. Erin takes Nadia and gets her out of there, now they are at a diner. Nadia pours far too much sugar in her coffee and her hand is violently shaking as she does so, Erin asks why she contacted her. Nadia wants to get clean, Erin believes her and offers to help her by letting her stay at her place and make some calls to help. Nadia thanks her and begins to cry. Sheldon calls Jay and lets him now he’s tracked the credit card he wanted, that it was at a toy store. Jay heads at the toy store and is waiting in his car outside of it, he gets a call from Hank and goes there with him. Jay, Hank. Erin and Antonio enter this place where gambling was taking place, it seems like everyone inside has been killed including the errand boy.
They check the camera footage; it looks like pros took them out. Erin says that they are an illegal Triad gambling den. Alvin and Adam are arriving to headquarters, Adam sees some old friends who’s also cops. Alvin interrupts them and tells Adam to hurry up. Adam is given a uniform to wear since he didn’t come in with his, turns out that Adam and Kim will be doing crossing guard duty today. Hank is talking to a man about people in the Sermac crew; Hank believes that they’ve got something to do with the Triad gambling den. Hank is introduced to a man named Edwin who’s going to be helping Hank now; Edwin wants a partnership in this case. Edwin says that Maurice would have been arrested weeks ago; Hank says that it’ll be done, but Edwin says he needs more than just his word. Edwin reminds him about the partnership and they go their own way. Kim and Adam are outside doing their crossing guard duty. Hank gets back to HQ; Erin asks him how many cards he gave out throughout the year. He answers three and says he got those three to come. Sheldon briefs the team about where they can find another Triad gambling den; it’s inside of place that is disguised as a karaoke bar. Alvin, Kevin, Hank, Antonio Jay and Erin are waiting outside. Jay is going in alone to see what they’re dealing with; he goes into the karaoke bar. While inside he goes into an area he shouldn’t be in, he hears two people fighting and sees a man pointing a gun at someone’s face asking for a name. Right when he was going to leave, Jay has a gun pointed at his head.
Jay is told to close the door at gunpoint, Jay says he’s trying to buy coke from someone; but the man finds Jay’s police badge and is thrown out. Turns out the guys they’re after are police also. Erin gets a call from home; it’s Nadia she’s asking if she can take a nap in her bed. Erin says she can do whatever she wants at her home, Nadia thanks Erin for everything again. Nadia and Hank talk about Edwin wanting a partnership, he tells her that there is more to it, but he won’t talk about it now. Hank asks about what Erin is doing with Nadia at her house, but she doesn’t want to talk about it. Hank and Erin see someone leave the place there were sitting outside of, now they follow them. Alvin, Antonio and Kevin are spying in the field with binoculars at the people at the black van; they then see a gray van pull up. Hank tells everyone to move; they get together with their gear and are preparing to take these guys down. They all enter the karaoke bar; Jay, Hank and Erin are together while Kevin, Antonio and Alvin are together. They hear people talking in Chinese; they find a bunch of people and tell them to put their hands up and to not move.
Hank tells them to drop their weapons, the men in masks decide to get rid of their weapons and get down on their knees. Turns out that they’re under arrested now, Jimmy tells Hank that he was going to be taking down the Triad on his own and that it’s been a six month operation. Hank makes them get into the car; Hank is now at HQ with the cops they believe killed the Triad group. Jimmy is defending himself and his team saying he’s never gone dirty; Jay comes back and says another robbery went down with people in masks also. They go to where the robbery took place, everyone inside is dead. Adam and Kim get back to HQ, Platt tells them to both go get everyone lunch. Kim asks Adam where he had his first date with his current girlfriend; he tells her that they saw Transformers. Adam and Kim get a call to head somewhere, they are at a house turns out that someone who’s on drugs entered the house. They’re making their way into the house; they get inside ready to fire. Adam and Kim decide to go after him, the man threw a desk down at them, but that didn’t stop Adam and Kim. They make their way upstairs and see that he’s hiding in a room, they open up the washroom door and a dog comes out barking. The man opens the door next to them with a knife and tries to stab one of them, Kim takes him down and he’s arrested.
Adam and Kim arrive with lunch, Platt tells them that they are a bit late with it; they are then told to go and pick up an envelope. Alvin and Kevin get back, Alvin asks how Adam is doing and he says he’s learned his lesson. A woman named Sumner introduces herself to Hank; she’s a detective working for Edwin. Edwin calls Hank, he picks up the phone and Edwin tells him about Sumner and everything. Hank tells him that they need to speak to each other face to face again. Hank introduces everyone to detective Sumner who’ll temporarily be helping with intelligence, he tells Sheldon to go and show her whatever she wants. Hank then briefs to his and Jimmy’s team about what they’re going to do to shut down the Triad. If they can tie these crews to the other robberies, they will be able to put them away forever. Erin asks Alvin about him and Hank; he tells her that it’s none of her business. Hank and Jimmy’s teams are getting prepared to shut down the Triad, they’re prepared to go. Jimmy gets out of the car to enter the house with Antonio, Kevin and Alvin. They’re getting prepared; Erin tells them that the crew has arrived. Everyone is getting ready, but they need to wait for the crew to breach the house. The men in black masks breach the house; everyone gets out and starts shooting. Jimmy, his partner, Kevin, Alvin and Antonio were hit with a flash bang and are trying to recover from it. Antonio takes one of the masked men down with the end of his gun, the masked men get away; but they have got one of them in custody. The masked men are trying to escape now, this starts a car chase between them and the cops.
They end up catching the crew, due to Jimmy driving in to them to stop them. They’ve caught the crew. Adam and Kim come back from getting the envelope, Kim tells Adam that she was glad to partner up with him and he lets her know he feels the same. Adam asks Kevin about his day, he says it was incredible. Sumner tells Sheldon that she’s not the bad guy, he tells her he knows and doesn’t care. Jay enters to talk to Sheldon, Sumner ends up leaving. Jay thanks Sheldon for tacking the credit card, he tells him he hopes he gets something or else it’ll be his ass also. Erin asks Antonio about Alvin and Hank, he tells her there are stories, rumors and what’s in the records. It turns out that Alvin and Hank had a cop with them who ended up dying. Erin arrives home; she calls for Nadia, but gets no answer. Erin looks around her home; she finds her bed empty with no one there. Erin calls Nadia and asks her where she is, Nadia says she can’t do it and hangs up. Alvin, Jay, Antonio and Adam are at the bear grabbing some drinks; Alvin lets him know he heard that Adam did well today. Erin enters the bar, to grab a drink with them. Antonio makes a toast; Adam asks for another round and then sees Kim. It seems that Adam is feeling something for Kim. Kevin is looking at himself in the mirror at home contemplating something. Hank meets up with a man and it seem the man needs some clearance because he’s bringing a load in, they’re caught by cops. Edwin is with the cops that arrived and they arrest the two of them, Edwin tells Hank he’s finished while arresting him.
