My favourite television show DALLAS returns tonight to TNT with a new episode called, “Trust Me.” On tonight’s premiere as the betrayals mount, the arrival of a mysterious stranger puts everyone’s plans at risk. On last week’s episode the new season kicked off with the Ewings on top, having vanquished Cliff Barnes and taken over his company. The Ewings were united, with Sue Ellen planning a wedding for John Ross and Pamela. But solidarity among them can only last for so long. John Ross quickly got into conflict with Bobby over their joint ownership of Southfork Ranch, while also putting his marriage at risk as he entered into an illicit liaison with Emma. Meanwhile, Christopher’s relationship with Elena seemed irreparable as Elena returned to Dallas with her own secret agenda for justice. As the betrayals mounted, the arrival of a mysterious stranger puts everyone’s plans at risk.
On tonight’s episode On the heels of Nicolas’ arrival, John Ross goes to great lengths to keep his plans for Ewing Global moving forward, locking horns with Bobby in the process. Meanwhile, Sue Ellen’s suspicions of John Ross’ infidelity threaten to derail her alliance with her son. Harris Ryland’s surprise return creates concern and Emma enlists the help of her grandmother (guest star Judith Light). Bobby and Ann’s investigation into Ryland’s release from jail leads to a shocking revelation.

Sue Ellen meets with Bum in secret. She tells him she needs him to follow John Ross and he asks why. She tells him she thinks he’s cheating with Emma. Bum tells her that things are good between her and JR Jr and him spying could end that. She says she loves her son and that it took JR years to realize the error of his ways. She says she has to watch out for him and make sure he’s not destroying his life. Bum agrees to look into it. He gets out of the car and she opens her flask and takes a sip! Clunk. That’s the sound of Sue Ellen off the wagon.
Harris comes home and opens his safe. Emma comes in and he tells her – Daddy’s home. He asks her where his files are. She plays dumb and she says she’s calling the police and he tells her the judge tossed it so it won’t do any good. Harris tells her she won’t get away with giving the Ewings his ships. He tells her she’s out of control and asks if she’s on drugs again. He says he may have to put her back in a secure setting so she won’t hurt herself – just like he did to her Grandma.
Emma comes to see John Ross to tell him her Dad is taking the ships back but she’s more upset about him putting her away and he promises it won’t happen. She tries to get busy with him and he tells her that he has business to tend to. She throws him on the bed and tells him to make his call and that it won’t interrupt her. She’s unzipping him. He calls Bum to meet him – turns out he’s right across the street snapping photos of them. He says he can meet him there soon.
John Ross climbs into Bum’s truck and tells him Harris is out of jail and says he needs to get him put back in jail. Bum asks why he’s out of breath and he lies and says he took the stairs down.
Ann finds Bobby staring at the plans for the shale plan. He looks at an older map and it shows the shale at a different depth. He’s worried and says he’s going to get new seismic studies done because he doesn’t trust John Ross. There’s a knock at the door – it’s Sheriff Derrick – and he tells him that Harris is out. Bobby sees Ellis and wants to know why Harris out. Ellis says no one is talking or explaining it so Bobby decides to go to Senator Mcalister, an old friend.
Pamela comes in and sees John Ross flirting with Candice – an assistant. He tells her that he needs to know why his seismic guy is in with Christopher and asks her to look into it. He goes in and asks Christopher what’s up. He says that he needs to confirm the depth of the shale.
Nicolas comes in and congratulates them on finding the shale to fund their new project. Christopher invites him to a barbecue at Southfork and he agrees. Elena chats with Nicolas/Joaquin later and tells him she can’t find the evidence to show they cheated her dad. She thinks it must be on a personal computer at Southfork. He tells her he’ll be at the BBQ and says she can look for it then. She’s worried because her Mom works at Southfork and will recognize him. He tells her that she will want retribution for her husband’s death and won’t give them away.
John Ross comes to his seismic guy – Howard – and tries to schmooze him. He tells him he’s a superstar and says he appreciates his loyalty. He tells him to be sure that the shale shows up within his surface rights. He tosses a big bundle of money on the desk and shakes his hand, then leaves. Howard looks at the stack of hundreds and sighs.
John Ross finds Pamela outside drinking and she reminds him they were supposed to make some wedding decisions. He asks what’s going on and she complains about Candice. He swears there is nothing going on. Pamela tells him if she finds out he’s cheating on her, that God’s wrath will look like nothing. He tells her she’s sexy when she’s scary and kisses her.
Christopher watches Heather ride up. She’s upset about the fracking and says it’s going to put ranch hands out of work. He jokes with her then invites her to the barbecue. Elena comes in and finds Carmen to tell her that Joaquin is coming but says she has to not let on that she knows him. Carmen is upset and thinks it’s a crazy Cliff Barnes plan. Elena tells her Mom to trust her. Carmen is upset and says she won’t help them destroy the Ewings. Elena begs her to listen but she won’t hear it and tells Elena to leave.
Harris waits at hoe when he hears the door. He pulls out a gun when he hears a loud thumping noise. It’s his Mom! Judith is back!! The thumping was her crutch. She says she knows he wants to know how she got out and then Emma is there smiling and telling her Dad they can be one big happy family again. Judith asks for a moment alone with her son. Harris tells his Mom that Emma is being controlled by the Ewings and had him put in jail.
Judith tells him she knows that locking a parent away is an evil deed. She says she’s ready to forgive him for pushing her down the stairs and keeping her drugged and locked away in a hospital. She says she’s taking the business back over and he tells her that if they don’t get the trucks moving, they will all be dead. She says she has no issue with the drug smuggling. She says when money and morality are facing off, morality goes in a ditch. He tells her he has to go meet the cartel and she says she wants to go along. He says she’s not up to it but she tells him she was playing dirty back when he was still playing with his EZ Bake oven.
At the barbecue, Sue Ellen sees John Ross chatting with a blonde while Emma watches and pouts. She tells Ann the party looks nice. Bum lies to Sue Ellen and says John Ross never went near Emma. He asks if she’s just projecting JR’s wrongs onto her son and she agrees it’s possible. John Ross waves at his mother and she waves back hesitantly.
Pamela watches John Ross flirting as Heather comes into the party. Christopher tells her he’s working on stopping the shale drilling so he can save their jobs. She invites him to dance and they go to it. John Ross is flirting with another blonde. Pamela asks Nicolas to dance and he agrees. They move well together and John Ross finally notices his wife and glares while she gets cozier with Nicolas. He holds her close and dips her.
Bobby asks Howard how the tests are going and he says it’s going to be close. Howard hands Bobby the money that John Ross bribed him with. Bobby laughs and says he wouldn’t be his nephew if he hadn’t tried to bribe him. Bobby tells him to keep the money.
Christopher tells Nicolas he’s glad he came. Christopher says he’s been studying his past and knows how much Cliff has likely offered him to block them. He offers him a deal to get them the Arctic leases. Nicolas tells him he’s impressed with his team – especially Elena. He says she’s smart and beautiful. Christopher tries to brush off the compliments he’s making about Elena being sexy. He asks if Elena is dating anyone and Christopher says she just got out of a serious relationship and isn’t looking to date. Nicolas asks if it was with him and then takes a call and walks away. Christopher isn’t happy.
Ann comes in and compliments Carmen’s coking. Nicolas also comes in and introduces himself to Ann and asks to meet the marvellous chef. Carmen decides not to call him out and plays dumb in front of Ann who then leaves. Nicolas hugs Carmen when they are alone and she asks why he’s going by Nicolas and says she only knows Joaquin. He shows her the St Christopher medal she gave him and says it has kept him on the right track. She tells him she expects him to do the right thing but if he’s leading Drew or Elena astray, she will crush him. She walks away.
Elena heads into Bobby’s office at the ranch and plugs a drive into his computer. She walks back out and sees Christopher outside. Nicolas approaches and asks Elena to show him around. He tells her she can try and convince him to help with the Arctic deal. She agrees and he says he’ll get his car. Christopher tells her not to go out with him. She says she won’t fall for anything and leaves. Heather comes up and tells him she’s leaving but wanted to thank him for the invite. She kisses him and says she’s direct and thinks he’s handsome and nice and wants him to know what when he’s ready, she’s interested. He smiles as she walks away.
Christopher comes in just as Bobby and John Ross are getting the results from Howard. He tells them he checked it several times, but it’s in John Ross’s surface rights. Christopher says they don’t need to frack because he has dirt on Nicolas. He found a hundred million dollard discrepancy and thinks Cliff and Nicolas never really worked together. Christopher says Nicolas covered his tracks in America, but maybe did not in Mexico. John Ross says he’s going to frack because they’re out of time. He leaves. Bobby tells Christopher to go to Mexico and try to find some dirt while he stalls for time.
Elena tells Nicolas she found an email about Rhonda Simmons, the waitress that placed Cliff at the bar where JR was. Bum meets John Ross and shows him photos of him and Emma. He tells him to quit being sloppy and says if it was an enemy taking the photos, he’d be in trouble. He asks why he’s spying on him and he lies and says it’s because JR asked him to keep an eye on him. Bum tells John Ross to grow into his father’s greatness without falling prey to his weakness (i.e. women!)
Judith and Harris meet with his cartel contract. She tells him she’s running the company now and he says she hasn’t earned his trust. She asks if he thinks she’s wired and she says she agrees that trust is important. She unbuttons her blouse and takes his hands and runs them all over her body while Harris watches grossed out. She flirts with him shamelessly and says she feels like they’re good friends.
She says because of Harris’ legal troubles, the Ryland trucks will be scrutinized. She tells him her alternate plan to use private shale roads and waste water trucks. She tells him it will only cost a little more than what he’s already paying. He tries to argue price, but she wont’ have it. He agrees. She tells him she wants to seal the deal with a taste of the product and he brings over a gold box. She takes a hit and says “hot damn, mama like” and then does another line. (OMG – best line of the episode!!)
The cartel guy tells her if there are any hiccups in the drug pipeline, Emma will come to harm. Harris has a drink and stares at a photo of his mother and daughter. He opens his shirt and pulls off a wire he wore during the meeting! He listens to the audio then gets a call. It’s someone telling him there’s a problem.
Bobby gets a call from Senator Mcalister and Ann and Bobby go to meet him. They are cut off by a couple of cars. A man gets out and tells Bobby to get out of the car. Bobby refuses and the guy pulls a gun. They are brought to a man who tells them to leave the Harris release issue alone. The guy flashes a CIA badge and tells them that Harris is working for them. Harris explains he has been helping the CIA with the Mendez-Ochoa cartel. Harris tells them that if the cartel finds out about the CIA, they will kill her and Emma. He says they need to let the cartel assume it was a dirty judge that let him out.
