Tonight on ABC Dancing With The Stars 2014 continues with an all new Monday November 17, season 19 week 10 called “Plugged/Unplugged”. On tonight’s episode and the Semi-Finals, another elimination occurs after the tenth week of performances, which feature the couples doing two dances to different versions of the same song—one version being acoustic.
On last week’s episode, the remaining couples on “Dancing with the Stars” danced to a song and dance style voted on by viewers for “AMERICA’S CHOICE.” For the first time ever, America had creative control of the couples’ first dance, asking fans throughout the week via Twitter, Facebook and Instagram for their input on wardrobe, set design and visual effects. Each couple performed two full routines including an individual original dance and a trio dance. For the trio dance, couples had the opportunity to pick an eliminated pro or troupe member to enhance their performance and highlight the strengths of each star. Did you watch the last episode? If you missed it, we have a full and detailed recap right here for you.
On tonight’s episode as per the ABC synopsis, “five remaining couples advance to the Semi-Finals and perform two routines during plugged/unplugged. The semi-finalists including Tommy Chong, Bethany Mota, Janel Parrish, Alfonso Ribeiro, and Sadie Robertson will perform to two different versions of the same song. In the first round of the competition, the couples will perform a Jazz, Quickstep, Samba, Paso Doble or Argentine Tango to an original or “plugged” version of their selected song. In round two of the competition, the couples will perform an Argentine Tango, Rumba, or Contemporary routine to an acoustic or “unplugged” version of that same song. Special musical guests will accompany the unplugged performances including singer Christina Grimmie, who will perform “Love Runs Out,” Time For Three, who will perform “Blame,” and YouTube sensation Noah Guthrie, who will perform his cover of “Problem.” At the end of the night, one couple will be eliminated and four couples will move on to the finals.”
