Days of Our Lives spoilers recently revealed that Chad DiMera will be returning to Salem, and the character will be played by newcomer Billy Flynn. Also, rumor has it that Chad isn’t the only character that will be making a comeback. According to Days of Our Lives spoilers from several soap sources, Molly Burnett will also be returning as Melanie Jonas. Although no one at Days of Our Lives has confirmed that Melanie is returning, it fits in to the current storylines perfectly, especially now that Nick Fallon and Gabi Hernandez are no longer a threat to her.
The character of Melanie Jonas was introduced on Days of Our Lives in 2008. She was in several relationships during her four year stint on DOOL. But the prominent relationship Melanie is known for was with none other than Chad DiMera. Melanie left Salem in 2012 and went to Europe to live with her mother after she learned that Gabi Hernandez had orchestrated her kidnapping and Nick Fallon, her father’s murderer, was released from prison.
Now that Days of Our Lives has officially confirmed that Chad DiMera is returning to the NBC soap opera, it seems likely that the spoilers are true and that Melanie Jonas is returning as well. It’s no secret that James Scott and Alison Sweeney are leaving Days of Our Lives, and they are definitely going to need some new or old characters to fill the void after they are gone.
