'Frozen' Stolen From Walt Disney Studios Claims Isabella Tanikumi - Sues For $250 Million

This is weird. This is Gary-Busey-Donald-Trump-love-child weird. A certain Isabella Tanikumi claims Walt Disney’s “Frozen” was based on – wait for it – her life story. Let that sink in for a moment. Allow your brain to process what you just read. Let it sink in again. Ready? Here we go… Gawhd help us.

Crazy Woman wrote about her Peruvian/Andean mountain childhood in her 2010 autobiography “Yearnings of the Heart”. The laughable title is nothing compared to the hysterical lawsuit. Tanikumi is suing Walt Disney Studios for two-hundred-and-fifty-million-dollars. Million. Million dollars. Million. Let’s say it again: two-hundred-and-fifty-ohmygawd-dollars. According to TMZ, “Tanikumi claims Disney plagiarized and copied the story, characters, and plots from her book […] and turned it into ‘Frozen’ — the highest grossing animated flick of all time.”

Here’s the official synopsis of “Yearnings of the Heart”:

This is a compelling, introspective account of the life of Isabella Tanikumi, who takes her readers on a journey through various phases of her remarkable life- from her family’s survival during the devastating earthquake of 1970 in Huaraz, Peru, to the trials of overcoming heartbreaks of her youth. Conquering personal insecurities led to exploring the reaches of her intellect while facing the tragic, and untimely death of her beloved sister Laura.

Despite language barriers and the consequent obstacles of fitting in, Tanikumi wittily narrates her struggles with her assimilation into American life and culture. Forging many enduring friendships most notably, with Julie, who rescued her from the depths of grief? Tanikumi also interweaves a dialogue with her long lost love Eduardo. This novel tacitly and expressly addresses Eduardo as a salient recipient of her reflections. Ultimately, Tanikumi is able to share her gratitude and joy as well as her insatiable thirst for life.

“Frozen” is based on the Hans Christian Andersen fairy tale, “The Snow Queen”. Why would Walt Disney base a film on a self-indulgent autobiography written by an obscure author? Tanikumi is so vain she most probably thinks every movie ever made is about her. What’s next? The Sound of Tanikumi’s Music? My Fair Peru? Gone with the Snow? Ben Hurnameistanikumi? Silence of the Goats? Tanikumitanic?

This is a blatant publicity stunt. Tanikumi’s heart yearned for extortion, so she decided to pull a fast one on Walt Effing Disney. You clever narcissist you!
