General Hospital spoilers teased for months that the iconic character Jason Morgan might be headed home to Port Charles, and those spoilers were confirmed when TPTB at General Hospital announced on Twitter that they had signed Billy Miller on to play the part. GH fans have been waiting for what seems like an eternity for Jason Morgan’s big return, and it looks like they won’t have to wait much longer. Jason Morgan is on his way to Port Charles!
After the bombing at Crichton Clark, there was a lot of confusion about who did or didn’t die, but Robin Scorpio Drake and Jason Morgan are apparently still very alive. And, according to General Hospital spoilers in the September 29th edition of Soap Opera Digest, Jason will be in Port Charles sooner rather than later. GH Head Writer Ron Carlivati explains in the magazine, “Jason’s drive to get to Port Charles is pretty strong. This is really the kick off to the story of Jason’s journey home. It’s definitely a can’t miss week. Given that it’s a new actor [Billy Miller] there are going to be a lot of twists and turns to it.”
General Hospital spoilers also reveal that Elizabeth begins caring for a “mystery patient” at the hospital around the same time Jason Morgan is believed to be returning. A popular theory among GH fans is that Jason’s face was seriously injured during the explosion at Crichton-Clark, so no one at the hospital realizes it is Jason Morgan and it will also make the transition between Steve Burton and Billy Miller flow better. Another popular theory is that Victor Cassadine may have done some sort of cosmetic reconstructive surgery to make Jason Morgan assume a new identity, and that would also explain why Elizabeth doesn’t recognize him.
