Glee returns to FOX tonight for an exciting new episode. In “New Directions″April and Holly work together to come up with a plan to save the glee club. Elsewhere, Rachel and Santana try to reconcile after their fight.
On the last episode of Glee, current and past members of New Directions reunited for one final assignment – to reinvent their favorite performances. But these new versions of the series’ most iconic tracks should not be seen as goodbye to glee club. On the contrary, they were celebrations of what the club had meant to each and every member. Did you watch last week’s episode? We did and we recapped it right here for you.
On tonight’s episode the celebration continues with the conclusion of the two part episode. Puck makes a heartfelt admission to Quinn, prompting an unexpected and welcome response; Brittany and Santana make a realization about themselves and the future of their relationship; and an increasingly (and uncharacteristically) pessimistic Will gets mixed news about his future as a teacher.
The songs which will be performed on tonight’s episode is : Bonnie Tyler’s “Total Eclipse of the Heart,” “Loser Like Me”, Eddie Murphy’s “Party All the Time,” Oh Honey’s “Be Okay,” “I Am Changing” from Dreamgirls, Pink’s “Just Give Me a Reason” and Journey’s “Don’t Stop Believin’.”
“New Directions″ is sure to be a lot of fun and it’ll be awesome to see some old favourites come back for a return performance. Tonight’s episode, like always, is sure to be a great one — and will be perfect to get you in a good mood. So don’t miss out! Come back here tonight at 9 PM EST for your live recap. Holly and April are sticking around McKinley’s and thanks to some quick thinking on their part they might have actually found a way to save Glee club – well almost! Thanks to Holly close’s relationship with Coach Sylvester (who saw that one coming), the ladies were able to convince Sue to let them see if the Glee club could merge with another program at school!
Meanwhile Tina is dreaming about life in New York, and according to her, they’re remake of Friends is going to be awesome. Most of the original glee club members appear to be heading to New York post-high school and if Tina gets into a school in the area then it would be like Glee club all over again. Truthfully its already starting to look like one of their old productions, what with Rachel and Santana at war, but that’s what Tina wants.
Now if only she can get it because she’s kind of waiting to get accepted into basically anywhere at this point. Her safety school rejected her and she hasn’t heard back from her dream college yet. So, as of this moment, she’s placing all of her dreams on getting into a Jewish affiliated school.
Don’t be cynical! A girl can dream!
But seriously the fight between Rachel and Santana has gone on long enough. Kurt and Mercedes even took a stab at trying to establish peace and their rendition of “I Am Changing” got the girls nowhere. And after all her posturing about handling it, Rachel has reached her breaking point. She finally admitted to Santana that their fight is exhausting.
She told Santana that she’ll give up 10 shows – that way Santana could fly out her family and everyone could see star on Broadway. However Santana didn’t want a fraction of the shows. What she wanted was all of them!
Brittany was the only one to ask her way though. She knew this wasn’t Santana’s dream and so she pointed out to her that the whole fight might not even be worth it. And she had a point there! Santana had never even thought about Broadway until Rachel.
That’s why, once she regained common sense that is, Santana quit the show. And then she made peace with Rachel. The two of them were getting along before the show split them up and, it’s still a bit too early to call, they might be able to recapture that.
Tina’s back-up fell through. The school found out her full name was Tina Cohen Chang and denied her admittance. So there goes her plan to go to New York. Her friends tried to tell her that she should go anyways, but she told them she was afraid of being a free floating loser.
When hey, what’s wrong with being a loser? Isn’t that what they’ve been called for years? Tina’s friends had to remind her of this and thought what better way than to sing “Loser Like Me”. They wrote that song because they were proud to be “Losers” and owned up to it.
After hearing it Tina decided to go to New York even if she doesn’t have a plan. And a good thing too – it’s not like plans always go the way they want them to. Holly had approached the Animal Husbandry Club. She tried to introduce music into and instead received nothing but complaints from angry parents. Guess they didn’t approve of Holly’s “Party All the Time” as a welcome addition.
Will wanted to give up when he heard about the parents. For an optimistic guy, he’s very quick to accept defeat. Holly, on the other hand, still has some fight in her.
While Will was saying goodbye to the club with a final song from Quinn and Puck, yeah those two are together though it’s the first time they ever made it official, Holly was arranging one last production. She got the club members to create a video to Will’s future children. In the video, all of New Directions got to tell his kids about how great their father is.
They told antidotes and this time they ended the club properly- with one of their favorite songs. “Don’t Stop Believing” was the first song so it was only fitting that it would be the last!
Graduation held many surprises for the guys. Tina isn’t going to New York after all. She heard back from her dream school, Brown, and got accepted earlier that day. So she won’t be part of the New York set, but Brittany will!
Brittany hates it at M.I.T. and wanted to run away with Santana. Rather than merely running though Santana suggested they return to New York together.
Will has lost the McKinley’s Glee Club although Sue suggested he try out Vocal Adrenaline. She heard about a vacancy and if Will take up the offer – he will have the budget he needs as well as a supportive principal. Literally anyone is bound to better than Sue!
THE END!
