On #Grimm, in the Dominican Republic, two volunteer doctors are doing rounds. Gabe tells Diego they can’t cure everyone in one trip. They wash their hands and head out. Diego is bitten by a mosquito on the way out. In Portland, a cab pulls up in front of a house. It’s Diego’s place. He kisses his wife and she tells him he was gone too long and asks how it was. She asks if he’s sleeping okay and then tells him he needs to take better care of himself and that he looks bag.

Rosalee and Monroe pack for their honeymoon. He’s trying to find an antique camera he wants to take with them. He says no digital on their honeymoon. She tells him they’ll find it but he’s worried and says he feels like something is going to go horribly wrong. Rosalee says they have to go or they’ll always find reasons to miss out on it.

She says they have to trust that the others have this under control without them. Juliette and Nick are eating take out and drinking beer and he says it’s been forever since they were alone in the house. J says she’ll miss Trubel and he agrees. They discuss that they have empty nest syndrome. They wonder what they’ll do with all that privacy and then kiss passionately.

Diego the doc isn’t sleeping well. He gets up all sweaty and looking awful. He steps outside and then has some pain and grabs the porch railing. He makes it down the stairs but then collapses in the yard. His hands mutate and look monstrous. A guy walking his dog is dragged along when his dog runs for the doctor. There’s a growl and the guy sees the leash but no dog.

Then he’s attacked and brutally slashed by a monstrous man-sized creature – Diego in full blown mutation of whatever he has. Viktor gets a report that Nick’s mom was reported dead and beheaded but Adalind says she definitely had a head when Adalind was last at Nick’s house with the baby. His majordomo says if she is alive, she’s covered her tracks well.

The man says Kelly seems to have killed people to keep her secrets and none have survived to tell the tale. Viktor points out that Adalind wasn’t killed and she says that’s because she wasn’t trying to kill Kelly. Viktor says that’s too bad and, if she had, she might have her baby now. Adalind isn’t sure about that. Viktor admits that may not be true but says the two of them have to trust each other since they’re working together.

Adalind asks how they find her baby and they agree to start at the last place she was seen – Portland. The doc wakes in the tree line off a busy road with blood all over his mouth, hands and shirt. He rinses off in a pail of water he finds. Wu tells Hank and Nick that there are two victims that were attacked. The neighbors reported growling and screaming.

They show that their throats were ripped open and their blood drained. Wu asks if it’s a vampire or wolf man. A neighbor, Manuel, spotted the victims. He says he found them very early. Diego walks up the street then zips his jacket up to cover the blood. He creeps around the police line and looks at the covered bodies. Manuel tells them he knows what it was – he says it was the chupacabra.

Wu asks if he means the urban legend chupacabra but Manuel says only chupacabra kills like this. Diego’s wife is waiting at the window and asks where he was. He says he couldn’t sleep and needed some fresh air so he went for a walk. She tells him someone killed Justin but says the police don’t know who. She asks why he was walking without shoes but he says he needs to get to work.

Hank says the victim Justin moved from New York last year. Then they discuss what’s a chupacabra and look it up on the web. He says it’s Spanish and translates as “goat sucker” and Hank says it sounds Wesen. Nick says he hopes so. They agree to get Juliette to meet them at the trailer. She’s at Rosalee’s shop and tells her she’s nauseous but has had three negative pregnancy tests.

Rosalee makes her up some herbs to help but says if it gets worse she needs to go to the doctor. Nick calls J and she agrees to meet them at the trailer. She tells Rosalee to have a good time on her honeymoon and heads out. Rosalee gets a cal on the shop line and is told by a man that her marriage is an abomination. He tells her to go to the back door and says it will be her blood next.

She tells him to go to hell, grabs a weapon and goes out back. She sees a fox has been strung up and bled out. She gasps in horror – as a Fuchsbau (Wesen fox creature) – that has to be upsetting. Monroe comes to the shop and she says they won’t stop and tells him about the threat to hurt her. Monroe’s eyes pop red and he says he’s going to kill who did this.

Wu comes to talk to Renard and slaps some photos on his desk of all the Wesen crime scenes. He tells him that Hank and Nick handled all the cases. He starts rattling off the cases that were closed and asks how they can close cases when evidence doesn’t link to the perpetrators. Renard dismisses him as he gets a call. The stranger asks if he knows who he is and then asks for a meet. He agrees.

Diego gets to his office and checks his temperature. It’s over 103. Diego tells Gabe he must have picked up a bug in the DR then asks him if they talked last night. He says no and Diego says he can’t remember what he did last night. Gabe offers to run some tests on him and says he should go home. Juliette tells them her grandma blamed the chupacabra for everything – missing keys, pets, lots of stuff.

Nick finds a page he thinks is relevant in one of his journals – a Waeldreor – the page is in Spanish and J translates. It’s in Puerto Rico – the page says it was only part Wesen and could be seen by all. The page mentions that it was a Wesen who got a disease like malaria. J points at the photo and says that’s what her grandma said the chupacabra looks like.

Monroe calls Nick to tell him about the threats to Rosalee. They head out. Diego seems to be getting worse sitting at his desk. His hand starts to shift again and he stands then knocks over his lamp. He staggers to the elevator and down into the parking deck looking really rough. He heads for his car but is panting and sweating.

Gabe finds the mess in the office and then looks at the reports he was working on. He heads down to the parking deck and calls for Diego who is slumped over on the floor. He approaches him and then Diego turns and attacks him. A car pulls up and shines lights on him while he’s sucking the blood from his friend’s throat. Diego runs up to the car and leaps on the hood.

Monroe tells Nick about the call Rosalee got and that the caller said if she didn’t leave Monroe, her blood would be next. Nick says Trubel ID’d some people that may have been told by someone who came to their wedding. Nick says he’s been monitoring some of these people. Nick tells him they need to make it through one more day then leave on their trip while he investigates.

Wu calls Hank and he puts him on speaker. He says there’s another victim but he survived and there was a witness who said it looked like a wild dog wearing clothes. Nick says they’re on the way. Nick tells Monroe he has to go but will find who did this. Juliette says they need to come to their house for the night and Nick agrees.

Diego in mutated form rushes down the streets toward his house. A woman walks home alone. He lurks in some bushes but then comes after her. She hears a snarl and hurries up to her porch with her keys out. She puts her keys in the door and he creeps up on her. She tries to get the door open, but it’s too late and he’s there behind her as she begs for God to help her.

She gets inside and closes the door on Diego. He makes it in but then the woman’s family beats him with baseball bats and drive him away. They are in a Hispanic neighborhood and call out to the neighbors in warning that it’s a chupacabra. Wu rides with his partner and they discuss the odd description. Wu says he’s going to get this guy and his partner says he’s taking it personally.

They almost hit the chupacabra with their car while they talk and Wu is distracted. Wu hops out to give chase and tells his buddy to call for back up. Wu corners Diego who is back to himself by now. He turns to face him and Wu can see the blood on his mouth. Wu asks if he was attacked and Diego says he doesn’t know. He asks if he saw where it went and tells Diego to stay there and he presses on.

Wu looks back to where Diego was huddled, but he’s gone now. Gabe tells Hank and Nick that he saw who he thought was Diego on the ground in the parking lot. He says it wasn’t Diego, it was something else – he says he was in Diego’s clothes and going for Diego’s car but was something he can’t explain. He says Diego has been sick and says they were just in the Dominican Republic.

Hank and Nick head out to try and find Diego. Renard shows up to his meeting and sees two men waiting. He grabs his gun and holds it on his lap. Tavitian gets out of a nearby car, walks over and gets in Renard’s passenger seat. Renard puts down the gun. He tells him there is a rumor the resistance has a child that was taken right out of Prince Viktor’s hands.

Renard says he gave the child to Viktor because he had no choice. He tells Tavitian that the baby is with Kelly, the Grimm he hired. He says the resistance has been betrayed and that there is a mole in Europe. He asks Renard how he can know it wasn’t him and Renard says if it was, both he and the child would be with the royal family. Tavitian says they have to find the child and that Renard must help.

Nick and Hank pull up to Diego’s house and notice it’s close to the chupacabra attack. They go to the door and wonder what shape he may be in now. They knock and his wife says she’s been calling Diego but he’s not answering his phone. Nick tells her that Gabe was attacked and that they think Diego may have been involved or witnesses it.

She woges and then stares in horror at Nick. He tells her he’s not going to hurt them and asks if Diego is a Wesen too. She says he’s a coyotl like her but says Diego wouldn’t hurt anyone. Diego is outside and sees them in his house. He goes to the porch the stops and vomits. She tells Nick that when she woke up, Diego was just coming in and said he went for a walk.

Hank says Diego could be very sick and they tell the wife to call them as soon as Diego gets home. They go out and find Wu there who demands answers. He says he’s not feeling stable in his mind and says he doesn’t know what’s real anymore. He says he’s going to leave the job if they don’t help him. He says he thinks they both know what’s going on but have left him in the dark.

Nick and Hank agree the time has come to tell Wu the truth. They ask him to tell him what he saw and he tells Nick to start first and to tell him about Theresa Rubel and the books he saw at Nick’s house. Diego makes it into the house and collapses in the kitchen. He begs his wife to help him and says he doesn’t know what’s wrong and that he may have done something awful.

She calls 911 for an ambulance. Nick tries to explain about Trubel and that she was attacked. Wu says he wants to talk to her but Nick says she’s gone. They hear a scream and rush into the house and find Diego all fuzzed out and standing over his wife. Nick and Hank do battle with him while Wu watches in stunned silence. Hank tells at Woo to get her out and he finally moves to do so.

She asks what’s happening to him and Wu asks if she saw it too. Wu pulls his gun to shoot Diego and says he has to kill it. Nick stops him and says he’s Wesen and sick. Nick says he knows someone who can help. Wu stalks out and Hank says he’ll go after him. Nick calls Monroe and asks if he’s seen a waeldreor and asks him to meet them at the spice shop.

Monroe says he has to go down and Rosalee and J stand to go with him but then J has a dizzy spell. Rosalee tells Juliette to stay there and that they’ve got it. Rosalee says it’s a blood disease that’s related to dengue fever and is contagious to Wesen through fluid exchange. Rosalee says they have to hurry because he can turn into a waeldreor permanently.

Nick and Hank show up with the guy and they start mixing up an antidote. She only has enough of one herb to make one dose. She says they have to inject it into his spine and Hank goes for a needle. All four of them work feverishly to mix the antidote. Diego’s wife is there and starts convulsing. She turns into a chupacabra too. Uh-oh. They only have enough to treat one of them!

Diego’s wife tries to attack Nick and Rosalee works hard on the antidote. Monroe and Nick try to get the cuffs on the wife. Rosalee asks who they need to give the dose to. Diego has a moment of clarity, grabs the needle and shoves it into his wife’s spine. She reverts back to normal and he tells her he loves her then he starts to shift back into the chupacabra.

He tells them to kill him but Nick says they can help him. He says no – it’s too late. Diego stands, shifts and comes for them and Hank has to shoot him. His wife holds him and cries as he shifts back then dies. She touches his face and says his name, but he’s gone. Wu sits drinking at a bar and thinking. He thinks back to all the horrifying things he’s seen recently.

He guzzles his drink but can’t stop the horror show in his mind. He envisions one of the creatures behind him in the bar glass and throws his drink, shattering the glass. He’s freaking out. Hank and Nick tells Rosalee and Monroe they are leaving police at their house overnight and that they are going to find who’s harassing them. They leave and Rosalee tells Monroe they are going on their honeymoon.

The guys tells the cops outside to keep and eye out and they head out to find Wu. Rosalee and Monroe finish packing and he checks the window. He says he thinks they should do something for Officer Acker outside and she says she’ll make him a snack. Wu is locked into the drunk tank at the PD. Monroe takes a snack out to the cop car and sees the guy in the cop car is wearing a half mask.

It’s the mask of the hate group. Another hits Monroe in the back of the head and he goes down. Juliette is washing her face before bed when she gets a horrible headache. She woges into a hexenbiest and screams at what she sees in the mirror!

THE END!
