Gwyneth Paltrow and Chris Martin, recently having undergone a “conscious uncoupling,” have caused quite a stir within their neighborhood according to new reports. Apparently, when they first moved into the Mandeville Canyon Road neighborhood a couple years ago, they erected a giant (and illegal) nine-foot black wall/gate to ensure their privacy demands were met. Needless to say, in the midst of their romantic rubble, Goop’s neighbors are now airing her and her ex’s dirty laundry out to dry — because gossip’s always ripe for the picking when scandal’s wafting through the air.
The home was purchased in 2012 and we can imagine how quick the eccentric Gwyneth Paltrow was to build a giant wall around her fortress. While it’s quite clear celebs like their space, don’t you think a nine-foot wall’s a bit much? I mean, we’re all for privacy, but at least let some of the sunshine in, girlfriend!
Regardless of the weird lifestyle Gwyneth and Chris were trying to hide during the happy times of their marriage, nice neighbors don’t deserve being subjected to a ginormous wall that casts a shadow over their homes.
One of their neighbors tells Radar Online, “There was always work being done at the house. I only got annoyed when the workmen would illegally park in my driveway and they hadn’t even spoken to me about it.”
