There’s a beatdown going on at the pot growing house over an accusation that the shipment was shorted. The guy begs HR for mercy. The guy says he picked up the dope in Lexington but says he didn’t weigh it. He says he’ll go back and take care of it but HR says he’ll send someone else and leaves the other brothers to take care of him. They decide to “Seal Team Six” him and make a competition of shooting him.

Paxton’s in a coma and his wife is being grilled at his bedside by a local cop. He asks her if it was Boyd Crowder and then describes him as having a blinding smile and a crazy smile. She confirms it and the cop tells her he’s the most dangerous man in Kentucky. She asks if he’s afraid of Boyd and he says that Boyd should be afraid of him.

Raylan and Rachel come to arrest the Detroit mob money man. Jacob searches the house and says it’s clean. He threatens them with a harassment suit but they haul him out anyway. Raylan gets a call saying he has to come in because a Lieutenant is blaming him for his kid’s drug problem. Problem is they all rode together. Raylan takes the perps top of the line Mercedes and leaves the other Marshals with his ride.

Boyd comes to see Ava in jail and she’s freaking out that he killed Paxton. Her trial is in 10 days and Boyd reassures her that he’s doing everything he can for her. Ava apologizes and says it’s humiliating. He reminds her that he’s been behind bars too and she says he’s the only person in the world looking out for her and he tells her not to lose faith in him.

Boyd chats up the bartender and tells him that he wants to know where his drugs are. Then the cops show up (the one who was chatting with Paston’s wife and a buddy) and Boyd tells them to skate. But then Paxton’s wife comes in and Boyd denies knowing her. He tells them she’s hot and if he wasn’t engaged he wouldn’t mind getting to know her.

The cop tells her to ID him and pops out his cuffs but she says it’s not him that attacked her hubby. The cop asks Mara if she has a language problem. She tells the cop that she’s sure he wasn’t the one who assaulted her husband. She looks at him closely and says it’s not him. Boyd tells her that he’s sorry about her husband and tells the cops to go.

The cop tells Raylan that the girl who gave his son dope was calling out his name and saying Raylan was practically her stepfather. He tells the guy that he has his own daughter. It’s Loretta! Raylan tells her that he’s surprised to hear she sold dope to a cop’s kid. He asks why she’s throwing his name around and Loretta says she knows she screwed up and is sorry she dragged him into it. She tells him she’ll never asked for anything else if he helps her. He tells her it’s BS and is going to let her ride out the rap.

Her boyfriend calls Raylan a pig on the way out and he tells him that’s what you call a cop and he’s not a cop. The kid is outraged that he didn’t get Loretta out and calls Raylan a dick. Allison (Loretta’s social worker) runs into Raylan on the way out and tells him that the boyfriend is a real dick. He tells her that Loretta is still in her cell and Allison says leaving her there won’t scare her straight and will just let her know that no one cares. He says he’s going to go talk to the boyfriend and they plan to talk later.

The bartender tells Carl that he’ll get Boyd’s cut of the  money once Dewey steps out of his office. Carl covers and says he’s just upset that they fired Chrissy because she was his favorite and Dewey says she was too fat. The bartender says other guys have asked about her too because since she’s heavier she’s developed “other skills.” Dewey tells him to hire the big bitch back. Carl tells him to call when he has the cash and leaves.

Raylan finds the Waters kid being threatened by the two guys that shot up the guy in the weed barn earlier. Raylan shows his badge and asks their names but they don’t provide any. They talk some cheap threatening talk and then take off. Waters calls him an asshole and Raylan orders him to break up with Loretta but make it sound like he’s not good enough for her. Raylan calls Allison and says that he talked to Waters. He asks her to get together to talk to him about it.

Mara is ordered to take her e-cigarette out of the hospital hall and points her to the stairwell where she finds Boyd waiting. He tells her he can’t quite figure out what she’s up to. Mara says she had to try and save him once she realized Boyd hadn’t killed him. He says it’s his fault for not making sure he was dead.

She tells him that Paxton will never be the man she married so she’s in a tough spot and Boyd is the only one who can help her. Boyd says he would rather help than hurt her. Mara says she just wants to go home. She wants the $300k he offered Paxton. He offers to finish Paxton off and she says unless they’re married for 10 years she gets nothing. He tells her he can’t come up with the money now and she says he’ll figure it out and she’ll keep her mouth shut.

Wynn and a sidekick wait at the bar but then he turns to the crowd and calls for attention. He says since Boyd isn’t there he’ll speak on his behalf. He tells the assembled dealers that they have more product on the way and one guys speaks up and demands to know when. Wynn tells him that he said soon. The guy won’t sit down and then starts up some dissension. He calls Wynn cute.

Boyd comes in and addresses him by name – Cyrus. Boyd compares the situation to your cell phone being down. He says he and Wynn have fixed the service interruption problem and that they will have a new shipment in two days. He opens up the bar for few drinks.

Raylan comes to see Art and tells him they’ve got Monroe (the money man) locked down. Art asks about the car and he says it’s impounded. Another Fed tells Art the Marshals should move into Monroe’s house in case something crops up. Art asks if they’re liable if something gets broke and the Fed says no so Art says yes.

After the other guy leaves, Art tells Raylan that Sammy Tonin called for him while he was in Florida. Art says he had to make sure it wasn’t a prank call. But then Sammy has turned up dead. Raylan asks if he was thinking of making a deal. Art says based on his connections in Detroit it seems like that’s where he’d go to make a deal. Raylan says he told Sammy to call him if he ever wanted to talk.

Loretta is there and Art points her out. Raylan goes to talk to her and she demands to know what he’s done. He thinks she is mad because he told Derek to break up with her but she says he didn’t and has gone missing.

The two gangsters have Derek digging in the ground for something he says he buried with Loretta a couple of days ago. He says it’s there and one of the guys tells him that Loretta must have moved it on him. Raylan is there and whacks one in the head with a shovel and threatens to shoot the other. The other guy tells him that he doesn’t want to arrest them because it won’t stop HR (Hot Rod) from selling dope to kids. Turns out Loretta introduced Derek to HR!

[11:02:20 PM] Rachel Rowan: Sirens blare and lights flash in Mara’s rearview and it’s the cop angry at her for changing her statement. He yanks her out of the car and chews her out for embarrassing her. He tells her he knows Boyd came to see her at the hospital. He pulls a gun and tells her that she’s nothing more than a whore. He says he’s going to arrest her for trying to kill Paxton and that any jury in Paxton would convict her. He tells her to go home and think long and hard about who attacked her hubby and to come into the station tomorrow and make another statement. He tells her to drive safe and takes off.

Raylan waits with the two hoods, Derek and Loretta. Hot Rod shows up with his buddy and calls them a motley crew. Raylan asks if they’re unarmed and HR tells him he knew his Daddy. Raylan tells him that he needs to back off the kids and no vendetta. He tells  him that no one else better come into Kentucky and stick to Memphis. Hot Rod tells him the problem is that he went into business with the kids and they did him dirty. Raylan tells him getting into the weed business with teenagers is like walking under a flock of birds and getting shit on and being surprised.

HR threatens to kill Raylan and tells him he didn’t learn anything from his Dad. Raylan shares an anecdote about how he learned to be ready and says he’ll kill them all before they can draw and the star on his badge makes it all legal. He asks HR if they have an understanding and it looks like they do.

Raylan drives to a bus stop and tells Derek to get out. He threatens to shoot him if he doesn’t get out. He does and calls for Loretta to come with him. Raylan tells her it’s her call but she sticks with Raylan and falls asleep while he drives them away. He drops her off at her foster family’s house and asks if she lied to Derek about moving the money. He accuses her of playing him so she would take care of her drug dealer problem. She says she didn’t play him but he is who he is. He asks her to take it easy on the rest of “us.”

Some idiots are drinking and playing with guns on the street. One guy runs while the other shoots at him with a beanbag round. Candy (a junkie/ho) shows up to buy some drugs but he tells her he’s dry. She goes to leave and he tells her there’s some more shit coming in and offers her a free taste if she gives him one. She offers him a Pop Rocks BJ and he tells her the drugs will be in first thing tomorrow.

Dewey is being serviced by a couple of girls when there’s a knock at the door. Dewey says that unless Hitler has risen from the grave and is there to see him to go away. Turns out Daryl is there, boozing it up with Dewey’s booze and girls.

Art calls another office to ask where Sammy was the night Augustine was shot on the tarmac.

Allison and Raylan are having a glass of wine and she tells him that they are not headed for bed. He asks if she’s going to use him and go home. She tells him that she sold military equipment as a teenager to generals and that she made good money and got to travel. She says she met some military boys and he worries they turned her off of GIs. She says she got turned off of cops when she started her new job. She reminds him he’s living in a criminal’s house and driving his car and that he has an ex and a baby in Florida and lives in a tiny apartment. He tells her he’s a changing man and asks if she likes to bowl.

At the hospital, Paxton’s brain function is returning and he calls out for Mara. She goes to his bedside as the nurse comes in.

Boyd sees a mess when he comes to pick up the shipment. The cars are all opened up and all the guys are lying dead on the ground. Boyd tells his guy to clean it up as he asks who could have done it.

THE END!!
