Stepping back into the public eye after reportedly suffering a miscarriage couldn’t have been easy for Kate Middleton but she did at first have privacy on her side. While those close to The Duchess of Cambridge may have know of her private pain the rest of the world did not until GLOBE broke the news in their August 4th print edition. Rumors of her miscarriage of baby number two didn’t peak until last week and so when Kate stepped out with Prince William and even Prince Harry for the gymnastics event today at The Commonwealth Games in Scotland- well she wasn’t looking her usual graceful self. Neither was William for that matter. Even Harry looked glum.
Photos of the couple taken today seem to tell quite a story as they are gazing at Kate’s phone and looking both angry and hurt. While we have no clue what was triggering such a pained reaction one thing is for certain, Kate and William appear to be closer than ever. Usually they are smiley and seem pretty happy together- it’s never forced, but today is different. This couple’s connection jumps from the photos and it’s obvious that something has certainly united them.
If the rumors are true and Kate did indeed suffer a miscarriage earlier this month then setting foot in the public eye, with everyone assuming the worst, had to be nearly unbearable for her. Usually Kate puts on a good act and looks like she wants to be fulfilling her royal obligations, even if Camilla Parker-Bowles is involved. Today the Duchess of Cambridge certainly didn’t want to be at those Commonwealth Games and that says a lot – think of how much it takes for us to see a negative reaction on her face! Today’s appearance only seems to fuel the speculation that Kate and William have suffered a great loss. What are your thoughts on the photos of Kate from today? Do you think she’s putting on a brave face to cover up a bit of grief? Tell us your thoughts in the comments below!
