We have been telling you for months about the nasty in-fighting going on behind the scenes in the royal family over who will next rule England. While Prince Charles is technically the next heir by birthright he has hardly emerged as the best man for the job. and Queen Elizabeth has made it pretty clear that she would prefer that Prince William be seated on the throne next. Charles seemed to be pretty okay with this notion until his drunken wife, Camilla Parker-Bowles decided that she was going to pull rank and try and force him to fight for his birthright. Does Charles have a deep closet filled with secrets about his gay trysts? Who knows, but Camilla is threatening to sell all of the dirty details, whether real or made up to the highest bidder if her husband doesn’t comply with her demands.
Charles did seem to attempt to take control of things several weeks ago and began asserting his power but then pulled back pretty quickly. The Queen has decided to put an end to the battle once and for all and according to the March 24th print edition of GLOBE she has already set a June 2015 Coronation date for William and his wife, Kate Middleton. She also spoke privately to Kate and told her that she is hopeful that she’ll live long enough to see her and William make royal history. If she dies before that date then she is rumored to have asked Kate and Will to visit her tomb on that date so that she’ll still be a part of the coronation festivities.
While Elizabeth made her decision in an attempt to quiet the fighting my guess is that Camilla isn’t going to go away quietly. Poor Charles has no doubt been putting up with Cami on a rage-fueled bender ever since shewas informed that she’ll never be queen! Do you think that William and Kate are the best people for the job?
