Kate Middleton always seems to be on her very best behavior while in public but all it takes is one wind gust and a perfectly positioned photographer to cause a scandal for the duchess. Apparently that’s exactly what has happened yet again. While winning rave reviews from the public and press alike for her appearance in Australia last month Kate had a misstep that she probably knew nothing about until a photo surfaced. As Kate and Prince William landed in The Blue Mountains they exited their helicopter and for a split second the back of her dress floated, exposing her bottom.
Supposedly there is a perfect photo of the duchess’ assets that has created quite a bidding war. It is up for auction and the palace is praying that they can somehow prevent it from being sold. Clearly it’s an embarrassment that the mother of one doesn’t need to contend with especially if the rumors are true and she will be Queen to Prince William’s king very soon.
This also raises questions about invasion of privacy. Obviously Kate is a public figure which in the world of hungry photographers makes her fair game every second of her life. But has the common decency been traded in for dollar signs completely? At what point should a line be drawn and is this split second caught on film an example of when it should be upheld? Should the sale of this photo be allowed? If it was any other celeb there would be no stopping it so should Kate suffer the same bottom line?
