Believe me, I understand that having kids is tough and quite frankly, parenting teenagers can be one of the most thankless jobs that you’ll ever have but it seems that Kate Gosselin is even more evil than the last time that we saw her. The family is back on TLC for a two-part special Kate Plus 8: Sextuplets Turn 10 and from the first video clip that has dropped I’m thinking things may be worse for those kids than the last time that we saw them on camera a few years back.
Kate readily admits that she is older and worn out- hey who wouldn’t be with 8 kids, right? But on camera when 13-year old Mady challenges her Kate launches her from the room, berating her. She ultimately allows Mady her “only redemption” but then keeps her phone. Kate says in an interview snippet that she purposely got the kids cell phones and ipads because she can take them away. It gives her leverage and control.
Kate has never been the cheeriest person and her control freak ways are already legendary, but there seems to be an extra layer of bitterness this time around. Perhaps it’s because none of her follow-up reality show attempts have worked. Rumor has it that TLC shot down an opportunity to follow Kate on dates as she searched for her next whipping boy – I mean husband. It seems that this chick is still so focused on controlling everything and being right that she has forgotten to have some fun along the way.
