As a new ambassador for the global Unilever beauty brand, Rowland will help promote a new line of body wash that’s sure to help every woman get a refreshing, clean, amazing start to her day.
We were lucky enough get the chance to chat with Kelly for a bit, and she was kind enough to answer a few of our burning questions we had regarding her perspectives on beauty, living life to the fullest, and what it takes to be successful in an industry that places so much emphasis on appearances. What inspires you in your day-to-day life? I love being inspired by new experiences, and looking for fresh new ways to go about my everyday activities. Switching up your ordinary routine is so important. Right now, I’ve been really into outdoor yoga classes – weather is getting nicer, and it’s a great fresh alternative to the treadmill!
What excites you most about being the new face of Caress and what attracted you to the brand? As an artist, finding inspiration from my surroundings is so important. I’m so excited to team up with Caress Body Wash to help launch the NEW Fresh Collection because starting your day off with a little fresh fine fragrance gets me revitalized and ready to experience my day to the fullest potential. I’ve been using Caress products for years, and when I got a sneak peak of the new line, I loved it, and knew my fans would too!
What’s the one thing you hate doing to get ready? I spend so much time in hair and makeup, so on my off day’s I try to be quick about getting ready. I start by showering with my favorite scent, Caress Emerald Rush body wash, because it revitalizes me and leaves my skin smelling great.
What does it mean to you to be a Fabulista? I’m so excited to be one of the newest Caress Fabulistas. Being part of this amazing group of beauty and style icons gives me the platform to share tips I’ve learned along my journey on how to be fabulous. I’m so excited to join Caress to inspire my fans to enjoy every day experiences in a fresh new way – all in celebration of the new Caress Endless Kiss Body Wash.
Your latest music is really sexy — which song makes you feel the sexiest and why? “Motivation” makes me feel sexy
You’ve had a very diverse career; is there any aspect that particularly stands out when you reminisce about your vibrant life in the entertainment industry? Yes – performing in front of a crowd and not being able to see where the crowd ends – that’s pretty awesome. This just happened at a festival in Brazil and recently in Miami – it is so incredible to just see a sea of people.
Looking back over your career is there a particular influential figure or idol who helped you reach the level you’re at now? Yes, Whitney Houston – I saw her at the top and felt like I could be there too.
What does it take to live the life of your dreams? Is there any advice you’d give to your high school self? Listen to your gut – we often don’t – I usually feel like it’s the voice of God.
Is it hard to balance the glitz and glam of the industry with everyday life? No. I make time for the things I want to make time for. You have to make time for your own life and rejuvenate before you can give it all to the glitz and glam.
