Kerry Washington, known for her role on Scandal, and her husband, Nnamdi Asomugha, have welcomed their first child into the word — and it’s a girl! They named the child Isabelle Amarachi Asomugha. Apparently, the child was born on April 21 and the couple managed to keep the birth a secret for a couple weeks. Wow, that’s quite impressive. All of Hollywood has been watching that baby bump parade up and down the red carpet for a while now; it’s a surprise she managed to go into labor without the papz noticing.
The child was born in Cedars-Sinai Medical Center. Kerry’s always been a very private person when it comes to her personal life. In fact, she didn’t even announce that she’d married her football star husband, and she also kept quiet on her pregnancy — which was revealed to the world when she could no longer hide that growing baby bump of hers.
Scandal creator Shonda Rhimes threw Kerry a baby shower, where 50 of Hollywood’s finest gathered to celebrate the star’s child. Supposedly all the presents at the shower were wrapped in a variety of pastel colors (not just pink or blue!) to conceal the child’s sex. How tricky, tricky!
