Kristen Stewart has cut off all contact with Robert Pattinson since he started dating famewhore FKA Twigs. In fact you could say that Kristen fights internally with Rob ever since he began dating FKA Twigs and making a fool of himself. Anyone who’s ever been in a breakup knows that one of the toughest things to do is ignore your ex completely, whether that means cutting off contact via email, Facebook, messages, phone calls, online stalking, or any number of numerous ways that you can cyber stalk someone. However, it’s thirty times more difficult for a celebrity to cut off contact that abruptly, especially considering that they will still see each other and hear about each other for years to come.
Now, we know that Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson were in touch up until a few months ago, even though they had broken up more than two years ago. Rob pretty much confirmed that he was still in touch with Kristen when asked in an interview during the Spring, and of course, Twi-hards immediately took that as confirmation of #RobstenUnbroken.
However, I really do think it was more of a, ‘yeah, we still talk but I’ve moved on’ comment than a declaration of his undying devotion to his ex-girlfriend. Either way, we know without fail that Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart were talking before he started dating FKA Twigs. However, sources tell us that as soon as Robert Pattinson went public with FKA Twigs, Kristen Stewart completely cut off contact with her ex-boyfriend. Part of that was probably because it hurt too much – it’s hard to imagine that Kristen didn’t truly believe that she and Rob would get back together eventually, and seeing him with FKA Twigs was probably a cruel awakening and confirmation that her dreams wouldn’t come true.
But also – this allows Kristen a way to move on from Rob, even if it’s too difficult for some fans to understand that. She may not have had a rebound in the two years that she’s been single, but by finally cutting off contact with Rob [thanks largely to FKA], she’ll be able to find some peace – hopefully.
