LeAnn Rimes was all smiles when she landed at JFK airport in NYC yesterday. The country singer has been busy traveling across the states on tour promoting her latest album Spitfire.
“Here in the NYC! It’s my bed time if I look at the clock but my body is on LA time. I think room service & some NBA is in order #jetlag,” she tweeted.
The 31-year old was probably extra giddy because hunky husband, Eddie Cibrian was right by her side (and Brandi Glanville was nowhere in sight). After a few years of a continuous feud with the Real Housewives star and multiple health scares, LeAnn seems to be in good spirits. She’s even recovered from a freak TMJ incident she suffered while performing in March.
“I had my jaw pop out of place & I can’t hear out of my left ear,” she explained to fans after cutting the concert short.
Could it be that all of LeAnn’s mental and physical health problems have miraculously healed because she finally has Eddie’s full attention. His son’s are probably with Brandi or nannies and Brandi has temporarily pulled back the claws because she is reportedly filming the new season of Celebrity Apprentice. There is no one to keep him away from her so now she doesn’t have to suffer some major health crisis to get attention.
However, there was a little drama before the couple landed in NYC. LeAnn’s carry-on was inspected by a TSA agent at LAX even after it passed through the x-ray scanner. Hey, we can’t expect her to be completely drama-free over night. Baby steps.
LeAnn’s career is also moving in a positive direction. Spitfire was critically acclaimed and earned two Grammy nominations. It was also announced that she will sing the national anthem at the Indy 500 on May 25.
“To sing the national anthem at one of the most prestigious racing events (Indianapolis 500) is truly an honor. The adrenaline at the Speedway is felt around the world and I know I am one of millions who is so excited to hear those six legendary words ‘ladies and gentlemen, start your engines,” she said.
Although it has been pushed back several times, LeAnn and Eddie’s VH1 reality show is also set to premier on July 17
