Longmire is saved! Longmire fans have been protesting the A&E show’s cancellation since August, when the network shocked viewers and revealed that Longmire fans were “too old” and not bringing in enough advertising revenue. Legions of Longmire fans took to the internet to sign petitions, boycott A&E, and campaign for other networks to pick up the drama. GLOBE Magazine joined the crusade and helped unite Longmire fans and encouraged them to keep fighting for their show, and it looks like it worked!
According to numerous reports, Netflix has saved Longmire and picked up the series. After a few months of negotiations Netflix will be airing Season 4 of the western drama on their site, and it will air in the United States, New Zealand, and Australia. The Longmire Season 3 finale ended with a shocking cliffhanger, and sources are reporting that Netflix plans to pick up right where A&E left off, and Walt will learn who killed his wife!
Unfortunately, there is no news yet on when Longmire Season 4 will debut on the internet provider. There is an upside though, when the series is available on Netflix – fans will be able to binge-watch all ten episodes at once instead of waiting every week for a new one.
So Longmire fans, are you as thrilled as we are that Netflix decided to pick up the western drama? Were you one of the fans that were campaigning online to save the show?
