Albie and Chris have a boys’ night playing poker and Albie decides to bring Brittany, who shows up in an extremely low cut top. When Caroline comes down, she compliments Brittany on her top. Caroline doesn’t dislike her but is wary because she doesn’t know her. She didn’t realize Brittany was going to be involved in his life for this long.
Lauren is working on renovating Cafface, turning it into a blowout bar. Chris meets here there and they talk about how Caroline doesn’t yet know about it. She wants to change the name to “Full Blown,” and Chris laughs. She wants to call in some of her best customers, family and friends together to see the renovations and “just show them what we can do.”
Later, Chris gives Al some cheeses and they and Caroline joke about Al’s cheese book. Lauren comes in and tells Caroline that she’s renovating the store and wants to make it a blowout bar. She says once she realizes she’s not a little girl she will see it’s right. Caroline asks her if she even plans this out or if she just sent people to work immediately, and Lauren says she put all her money into it because it needs to be right, so if she messes this up, it’s over. She says she’ll then be able to pay her mother back with all the money she earns from her revamped business.
Caroline comes and visits the business and assesses what changes Lauren has made, guessing how much each one cost. “Did you think it through? Did you have a plan? I’m not hearing a plan,” Caroline says.
Caroline and Jacqueline discuss the renovations and Caroline tells her her concerns about the lack of a business plan. She’s upset that, as Lauren’s financial partner, she didn’t receive any notice that these changes were going to occur nor did she have any say in any of it. They then talk about Brittany: “I don’t dislike the girl, but I don’t like her with my son.” “He’s got to come to that conclusion himself,” Jacqueline says.
Lauren and Caroline go to Cafface to get ready for the opening. “If I don’t pull this opening off, I won’t hear the end of it from my mother,” Lauren says, angry that everyone seems to be slacking off. “This is not a time to have fun.”
However, her attitude angers Caroline who knows she should be nice to the people choosing to help her out. ‘What if they all walked out?’
Albie brings Brittany, and Ron comments on her skirt being too short. Caroline is offended by his comments and defends Brittany because she is her son’s girlfriend and an invited guest.
The opening is a success and “kind of on budget,” Lauren says. She thanks everyone for their help and coming, and they give do a toast.
THE END!
