New Fall 2014 TV Shows You Won’t Want To Miss: Red Band Society, Happyland, Black-Ish, How To Get Away With Murder, And More!

Fall 2014 is officially here! If you are an avid TV watcher, then you know that means a slew of new fall TV shows will be added to the TV schedule. Every fall, each network introduces a ton of new dramas, comedies, and reality TV shows. We scoured the internet and read all of the 2014 Fall TV shows’ spoilers and put together a list of the top ten new fall TV shows that you won’t want to miss.

There’s truly something for everyone this season. Whether you’re into supernatural dramas/thrillers like the much anticipated Constantine or prefer witty, humorous YA comedies like the snappy Happyland (MTV), this upcoming television season will definitely provide something to tickle your fancy. Check out our top eight list below and let us know which new television shows you’re getting super pumped up about. Red Band Society: Everyone has been buzzing about FOX’s new drama, Red Band Society, and critics have already predicted the show will be a huge success. The series premiere of Red Band Society is set to air on Wednesday September 17th. The show is set to take place at a children’s hospital where teen patients face a number of different life-threatening illnesses while bonding over their experiences. The stellar cast is led by Octavia Spencer, and includes Dave Annable, Charlie Rowe, and Zoe Levin.

Survivor’s Remorse: Starz new original dramedy, Survivor’s Remorse, has gained a lot of attention over the last few months, not necessarily because it will be good but because it is being produced by NBA superstar LeBron James. Survivor’s Remorse follows the life of young basketball player Cam Calloway: Cam moves to Atlanta to pursue his dreams and lands a multi-million dollar contract with a professional NBA team. Cam struggles to balance his new fame and riches and his personal life, all while experiencing the ups and downs of being a pro basketball player. The cast includes big names like Mike Epps, Erica Ash, Jesse T. Usher, and Tichina Arnold. Survivor’s Remorse is set to debut on Starz on October 4th at 9pm ET/PT.

Black-Ish: On Wednesday, September 24th the highly anticipated comedy Black-Ish is set to premiere on ABC. Funny man Anthony Anderson leads the cast of the family sitcom; he plays the part of Dre, a family man raising his children in a mostly white suburban working class neighborhood, and he battles every day trying to keep his children from abandoning their Black culture while attending a predominantly white school. Anthony Anderson is joined by Laurence Fishburne, who plays the part of his father, and Tracee Ellis Ross, who plays the part of his wife, Rainbow.

Constantine: NBC’s list of new fall TV shows includes supernatural drama Constantine. According to the Constantine spoilers on NBC’s official site, “A former demon hunter gets pulled back into battling the worst Hell has to offer in order to help the daughter of an old friend, and because there’s the slightest possibility of saving his own damned soul in this series inspired by the DC Comics character of the same name.” Multiple DC Comics have been brought to life on the primetime screen over the last few years and have been huge successes, NBC is anticipating Constantine will do the same. Constantine’s series premiere is slated to air on Friday October 24th at 10:00 PM.

Happyland: If you are a fan of MTV’s comedy line-up Awkward and Faking It, then you will most likely enjoy their new fall TV show Happyland. The comedy follows the lives of a group of employees working at an amusement park, and all of the drama that goes along with it. Bianca Santos, Shane Harper, Katherine McNamara, and Ryan Rottman are all listed as members of the new series’ cast. Happyland is scheduled to debut on MTV on Tuesday September 30th.

Jane The Virgin: The CW’s new fall line-up includes their new dramedy Jane The Virgin, which follows the life of Jane, a virgin who is accidentally artificially inseminated by her gynecologist. Once she learns she is miraculously pregnant, Jane struggles to come to a decision about whether she should go through with the pregnancy and attempts to cope with her extremely devout religious family. Jane The Virgin is set to premiere on The CW on Monday October 13th and the cast includes Gina Rodriguez, Brett Dier, Justin Baldoni, and Jaime Camil.

How To Get Away With Murder: From the creator of Scandal, How To Get Away With Murder is easily the most talked about new fall TV show. Defense attorney and college professor Annalise Keating, played by Viola Davis, selects a handful of her best students to work at her law firm and they get caught up in a real life murder conspiracy. Basically, anything Shonda Rhimes touches turns to gold, so you will not want to miss the premiere of How To Get Away With Murder on ABC. It airs Thursday, September 25th.

Madame Secretary: CBS’s new TV show, Madame Secretary, is sure to be a hit this fall. The political drama is led by Tea Leoni, who plays the part of the Secretary of State Elizabeth McCord. Elizabeth returns to Washington DC to take over the Secretary of State position as a favor to the president, her frankness causes her to quickly bump heads with other members of the president’s team. The cast of Madame Secretary includes some big names like Tim Daly, Erich Bergen, and Patina Miller, and will debut on CBS on Sunday September 21st.
