President Obama Daughters Malia and Sasha Thanksgiving Elizabeth Lauten Facebook Attack and Apology

Elizabeth Lauten learned the hard way that it really shows a lack of class and common decency to attack someone’s children. When President Obama daughters Sasha and Malia Obama attended their father’s presidential address for Thanksgiving, they may have looked a bit bored, but Elizabeth went for the jugular as she attacked the two teens for what they wore and their supposed attitudes during the speech.

The former media director for the Republican National Committee went head-on into attacking Sasha and Malia on Facebook for just about everything during their famous dad’s annual address. Let’s dig in, shall we?

In response to an article about President Obama’s Thanksgiving address, the GOP staffer said this on Facebook:

Dear Sasha and Malia, I get you’re both in those awful teen years, but you’re a part of the First Family, try showing a little class. At least respect the part you play. Then again your mother and father don’t respect their positions very much, or the nation for that matter, so I’m guessing you’re coming up a little short in the ‘good role model’ department. Nevertheless, stretch yourself. Rise to the occasion. Act like being in the White House matters to you. Dress like you deserve respect, not a spot at a bar. And certainly don’t make faces during televised public events.

It’s one thing to attack the man in office for bungling something or passing a bill of which you don’t approve. But it’s an entirely different ball game when you go after the man’s children because of their supposed attitudes or for what they are wearing. How many times did Elizabeth’s father take her to work and ask her to put on a smiling face for the public and gazillions of cameras when there were other places that she’d rather be? Of course they had an attitude, they’re supposed to – that’s what teenagers do. Now leave these girls alone and go find some class of your own already lady.

Those in opposition to what Elizabeth had to say have already spoken out and she has since removed the post from Facebook. There should be a “don’t be a douchebag” censor for this kind of crap around the holidays. What do you think of her attack on the Obama girls? Unwarranted or was she right to voice her concerns? Hit the comments and have your say!

Also, here’s a link to her Facebook page if you think she should have to apologize for her stupidity.
