Robin Wright and Ben Foster have called off their engagement and broken up. Robin Wright is 48 years old, and gorgeous. Ben Foster is 34 years old and attractive. On the outset, they make a very stereotypical Hollywood couple – huge age difference, extremely attractive, and seemingly way too filled with drama to sustain an actual relationship. And whaddya know? They broke up.
Robin and Ben weren’t even engaged for 10 months before Robin reportedly calling off the engagement. According to US Weekly [which means it’s publicist approved], Robin was the one who called off the engagement because of Ben’s ‘immature’ behavior. A ‘source’ tells US Weekly, “She got swept up in the engagement last Christmas, but then their schedules got crazy and she realized it wasn’t the right decision. The gap just ended up being too much. Ben was kind of immature. She couldn’t deal with him anymore.”
Oh, boo hoo. Robin Wright managed to stay married to Sean Penn for so many years, but Ben Foster was ‘immature? Girl, look at your ex-husband. Sean Penn is the poster boy for immaturity, although I suppose that his brand of immaturity is quite different to Ben Foster’s brand of immaturity. Ben’s immaturity might come from lack of experience and his relatively young age, whereas Sean’s immaturity just comes from the fact that he’s a douche.
