Tonight on Dancing With The Stars Ice Hockey legend 33-year old Sean Avery and his professional partner Karina Smirnoff were sent home on the DWTS season 18 episode 2. If you missed tonight’s show, you can read our full and detailed recap HERE!
On last week’s episode a new season of DWTS kicked off and Sean danced a Contemporary for his debut dance. The judges had this to say about his performance: Bruno said, “I was surprised, I thought you were going to be a lump of ice. Sometimes the links were jagged. But you did very well.” Carrie Ann said, “I think you are fascinating to watch performing. You have to learn to point your toes. Well done.” Len said, “The ice man commith, that was full of intensity, it need a bit more finesse. I thought you did well, well done.” The judges scored them a 20/30 for their performance.
On tonight’s episode Sean danced the Salsa and the judges had this to say about his performance: Bruno said, “DWTS and when you smile your whole persona changes. If you stay I would like to see more of it. You are light on your feet, a few timing issues. I hope you are staying, get those hips going.” Carrie Ann said, “You are very authentic when you dance. Work on your feet. There is such an ease in motion. Your rhythm is real.” And finally, Len said, “I am going to tell you the secret of DWTS, each week you have to get higher scores and that is what you are going to get from me.”
However, although the judges comments were ostensibly positive, they weren’t enough to prevent Sean and Karina from being eliminated tonight.
