The long awaited College letters are in and they’re a bit of a mix bag. Both Emmett and Daphne were accepted into college but Daphne doesn’t seem to take any joy from hers. Normal kids can’t wait to tell their parents. Which is what Emmett did with his mom the moment he heard back from Gallaudet. And yet Daphne doesn’t want her mom to feel proud of her. At least not when she’s currently so ashamed of her mother.

Daphne’s path of self-destruction isn’t getting better – it’s actually getting worse. She meet again with one of the young men that want to ruin the gentrification project and this time it wasn’t to convince him to lay off of her mom. Instead she wanted to help him commit a crime even if costs her everything.

Speaking of which, Bay finally heard about Tank moving in with her brother and she felt so bad about his circumstances that she agreed to go to dinner with him and his dad. Tank was nervous about it – he didn’t want to tell his father about de-pledging without some form of support. Although he forgot to mention to Bay that he never told his father they broke up. So bot only did Bay upset her boyfriend by supporting her ex but now she has to pretend she’s still with Tank.

Tank tried to put off telling his father as long as possible and when the time did come for him to tell the truth – his father reacted quite badly!

If dinner was any indication of how the upcoming holidays were going to go then Tank was constantly going to be a received as a disappointment. His father was ashamed Tank dropped out of the fraternity and nearly blamed Bay for twisting his son’s mind. But the final nail in the proverbial coffin was when Tank’s father realized that his son was no longer in a relationship with Bay. It made him question everything about his son.

And Tank wasn’t helping by telling his father about his latest hobbies. Especially as they both know he only has time for these things since quitting the fraternity in the first place. Tank has recently taken up meditation and admitted to enjoying a vegetarian restaurant. Neither of which his father could even comprehend so his father walked away. Hopefully just from dinner and not completely from his son.

But Bay was moved by Tank’s confession. So much so she made one of her own. She saw how much it took for him standing firm against his father and knew she needed to come clean as well. Even if it’s only to him. So she told him about her possible aneurysm.

Tank was naturally concerned and asked about doctors and risks she would have to avoid. Yet Bay doesn’t want to know about all of that. It’s easier to keep on ignoring the elephant in the room than being faced with a harsh fact.

Though she should say something. If not for herself then for her sisters. The baby needs to one day get screened and Daphne has to stop blaming her mother for Angelo’s death. Her latest transgression involved destruction of property.

She destroyed the breaking ground ceremony that Regina and Wes were going to throw. And that includes some of the construction team’s equipment on the site. That caused the construction crew to quit and the sole people willing to take on the job after the “incident” was Coto.

Daphne spotted all three together and didn’t wait around to hear an explanation! She just drove in a huff and later met up with her new boyfriend. Otherwise known as the guy that wasn’t afraid to physically threaten her mother.

Out of all of them – why is Toby the normal one? He liked a girl, he pursued the girl, and then he got the girl.

THE END!
