Teen Wolf Live Recap 9/1/14: Season 4 Episode 11 “A Promise to the Dead”

Teen Wolf Live Recap 9/1/14: Season 4 Episode 11 “A Promise to the Dead”

Tonight on MTV, TEEN WOLF returns with the tenth episode in its fourth season called “A Promise to the Dead.” On tonight’s episode, Scott battles an old enemy.

For those of you unfamiliar with the show, Teen Wolf is a supernatural drama and, to some extent, based on the 1985 film of the same name.

On last week’s special Sunday episode, Scott and Kira had to protect Satomi’s pack from assassins; Stiles and Malia uncovered the source of the dead pool’s transmission, which just so happened to be coming from a secret room hidden within Lydia’s family lake house.

Lydia slept at the police station as she feverishly waited for Meredith, the renegade banshee, to spill the beans on why she was orchestrating the dead pool. She wondered if the interrogators got anything out of Meredith and wouldn’t go home until Meredith talked. Lydia tried to figure out who was really to blame and, if you watched the episode, then you’ll remember pieces of the puzzle started falling into place, which just seemed to make the puzzle grow larger and feel more empty. Did you watch the episode? We recapped it all right here for you.

On tonight’s episode, Scott, along with the rest of the pack, undertakes a treacherous battle against an old enemy.

Tonight’s episode is going to be really interesting. You’re not going to want to miss even a minute! We will be live blogging TEEN WOLF on MTV beginning at 7 PM EST. In the meantime, enjoy the sneak peek preview of tonight’s episode below.

LIVE RECAP:

The show begins with someone dragging a body into a large cooling room. Inside, there are countless bodies hanging there. The man bends down to open the bag and, inside, there’s a woman. The man turns out to be a wendigo named Patrick. The girl is terribly frightened. Dr. Deacon shows up and fights the guy off. He beats him and says that he’s taking him back to Eichen House.

Dr. Deacon shows up at Eichen House. He speaks with a doctor who says that he appreciates what he’s done by bringing Patrick back to this TOP SECRET floor. Dr. D wants to speak with a patient by the name of Dr. V. The staff doctor says that he advises against this, as the last person who visited him went crazy and never left the mental hospital.

Dr. Deacon goes to visit the man by the name of Dr. V, who appears to be gifted with some sort of extra sensory perception. He’s a feared patient. Dr. Deacon talks with him because he wants to know what he can tell him about “South American mythology.” Dr. V says that that’s not why he’s really here . . . he says, “you want to know about Kate Argent” and what she really is. Ultimately, he wants to learn what Kate did to Derek.

The man says that he can’t tell him anything about what she is . . . but he can SHOW him what he knows. The man removes a bandage from his head. There’s a drilled hole. Dr. Deacon says that he’s not sure what he thinks he’s doing, but that he’s fairly certain that by drilling a hole in one’s head doesn’t give one ESP. Dr. V says, “Then why don’t you come have a look.” Dr. Deacon approaches. As he goes closer, he looks through the hole in Dr. V’s head and sees a blinking eye!

Scott returns home, only to discover that his mother, Melissa, has discovered the Hale money he’s been hiding beneath his bed. She says that he needs to return it.

Liam and Mason are playing video games. Mason says he needs to leave but Liam doesn’t want him to — because he’s afraid. He’s suffering from PTSD after encountering the Berserkers. He tries to get to sleep but he’s hallucinating.

Meanwhile, Derek and Braeden wake up to the sound of their security alarm. Guns drawn, they open the front door only to find Lydia standing there. SHE SCREAMS.

Scott returns the money to Derek. Derek isn’t mad — far from it. He says that this money only belonged to Peter. His money is tied up in separate bank accounts and also in the building where his loft is located.

Lydia is sitting in class and looks worried. Kira says that it’s over, that the dead pool has been shut off and that nobody else is dying. She says, “Not yet.”

Meanwhile, Dr. Deacon is trapped in a vision land after being subjected to the powers of Dr. V.

In the weight room, Liam continues to struggle with his PTSD.

Chris Argent lurks through the sewers where Kate and Peter have been having their frequent meetings. Peter shows up alongside a Berserker.

Kira and Scott show up at Derek’s place. Derek’s not home and it turns out that Scott set up the place for a date. They’re about to watch a movie but then Kira suggests they do, erm, other activities. They’re kissing when Kate Argent busts through the window.

In the sewer, Peter jams an iron rod through Chris’s abdomen and the concrete wall behind him, essentially trapping him there. He bleeds profusely.

Sheriff S takes Malia and Stiles out to dinner. Stiles’s Eichen House debt has been forgiven on the account of him and Lydia almost being murdered on the premises.

Inside Derek’s loft, Kira and Scott are being beaten up pretty badly. Kate has also brought along with her a Berserker. Kira and Scott are both beaten down. She says that she’s so confused how a boy, just a teenage boy, managed to disassemble the Argent family — one of the greatest family of werewolf hunters in recent history. Kate just wants to know why he’s so goddamned special. Scott tells Kate that she can have him, but only him, and to leave Kira alone. She says that they’re all going. “We’re going to church,” she says.

Meanwhile, the school has their first Lacrosse game against the prep school. Scott and Kira are missing — obviously. They’ve been captured. Liam is noticeably worried; Stiles, just as worried, tries to calm a nervous Liam.

Parrish locates Chris Argent. Chris reveals what Peter and Kate are up to and that he needs to go find them immediately. But Parrish won’t leave him there to die. He won’t have it.

Stiles tells his dad that he’s going to look for Scott. As Liam heads onto the field, he hears Stile’s plan. On the field, Liam has another episode wherein he sees imaginary Berserkers hunting him.

Peter shows up and sits beside Malia.

Lydia visits Eichen House where Dr. Deacon is currently resting in a coma, trapped in the vision world. The doctor says that unless she’s family she can’t be there — or make any decisions. But she says that she can get Deacon out of his own mind. Trust me, she says, he’ll hear her.

Peter tells Malia that he’s located her mother. He’ll tell her who and where she is, so long as she does something for him in return: Peter wants Malia to kill Kate Argent.

Kira is trapped in a prison cell. On the floor, there are countless bones.

Parrish tries to free Chris from the wall but he can’t bend the bar that’s trapping him there. Chris tries to tell Parrish to get the hell out of there and go rescue Scott and Kira. Parrish says that he needs to fight, fight, fight and to summon some of his anger. They manage to straighten the bar. As they’re doing this, Jordan’s eyes glow a fiery red.

Lydia managed to free Dr. Deacon from his own mind. He tells the gang that if they’re going to save Scott, then they need to go to Mexico.

Meanwhile, before the episode’s end, Scott is trapped in Kate’s ruined church in Mexico. She tells him the myth of Artemis and Actaeon. Hunter Actaeon saw Artemis, the beautiful goddess, bathing naked in a river one day. So angry for invading her privacy, she turned him into a deer and, ultimately, he was torn apart by his own hunting dogs. Scott is circled by a bunch of Berserkers and, next, we see Kate place a skull helmet (one that mimics the Berserker’s) on Scott’s head.

It appears as if Kate is about to turn Scott into a Berserker, a crazed warrior that will do her bidding. She says that she can’t wait to see what he does to his own friends — or what his friends try to do to him.
